Let's just see if MV can steady the ship, give us a few wins, get us mid-table and let's call that minimal expectation 'progress' if it comes. Two encouraging wins, yes, vastly better 'team' performances, yes, but it's not progress in the grand scheme just yet.

Off-field progress would be more encouraging to me than a top-half league finish, actually.

Trouble is, after the dreadful start, we now need to perform like a play-off side for the rest of the season just to finish top-half (1.6pts a game from here on it would get us 65 points) and a top 2 side to finish in the playoffs (1.85pts a game from here on in to get 74 points).
