I turned it round to pressure Wasps and CCFC about doing the deal if you read what I said..

I would ask the question why nobody wants anybody else other than CCFC or SISU to be pressured or asked questions ;)
But we know the reason why Wasps won't finish the deal so why cloud the issue ?
CCFC/Sisu need to act logically and within the rules.
Wasps will give us an interim deal if the court cases are still going on. They do make some money from us and they won't want any negative publicity from chucking us out.
If you were negotiating a deal with your landlord how do you think it would be going if you were taking him to court to challenge his ownership?

Currently the log jam is given as the court action, once that is out the way / dropped the process can resume and pressure and accountability can then be applied where appropriate.

That's what Wasps want people to be believe....IMO it's bollocks.

You would think the landlord wouldn't start negotiating at all if that was their issue.

Did Sisu ever want the Ricoh encumbered ?
They said they didn't and then when Wasps bought it they said they wouldn't have paid what Wasps paid for it.
Why couldn't they have just negotiated properly? Why couldn't they just have paid a token rent they could afford rather than move to Northampton ?
CCC had a way out of the Sisu strangle hold and wisely took it.

"Wisely"? Seriously? I really cannot imagine any Coventry City fan would think that it was "wise" for their club to have no chance of owning the stadium built for them for at least 250 years.

Tell me. Will SISU be here forever? Don't you think CCC could have held their nerve until SISU had gone? Wouldn't that have benefited CCFC? Or, would you have been disappointed to have missed out on the "top class rugby"?

They gave it as court action. I am in business, if someone was taking me to court I would not sit around a table to discuss a long term relationship.

So nobody has asked which court action or why, or has it just been left as that? Strange.

You can repeat all you want. There's plenty of examples of people taking each other to court but still having a working relationship. I don't believe them, IMO it's they are using it as an excuse to distress the football club and delaying negotiations in order put them in a possession where they have no choice but accept a significantly more expensive rental deal.

Sadly your opinion does not count, neither does mine as we do not own the Ricoh. I repeat the idea that SISU drop all court action remove themselves from the fray and let CCFC act to secure it's future. Or are the club and it's owners so linked now this is not possible.

Imagine if the football league says "you have to 100% be in Coventry else the club gets kicked out the league". It would be like writing their own cheques!

I would assume JR2 as they are on record as saying JR1 does not concern them.

Contact them, ask the questions you wish too as all pressure on parties concerned is only a good thing. A friend contacted them about a trailer parked in front of his late fathers place on that wall, they sent a nice reply and assured the trailer would be moved ASAP and would not be left their again. Not actually sure they moved it but at least they sent a quick reply. Our owners could learn a few things on fan interaction from them.

Where have Wasps stated this?
We only pay £100K now so if we paid that at the time instead of moving out it might force CCC/ACL to review a lower rent.
You also have to factor in we get a lot less for our £100K and pay far more in the way of matchday costs. Its not simply a case of saying we used to pay £1.2m now we pay £100K as its not comparing like for like.
If you were negotiating a deal with your landlord how do you think it would be going if you were taking him to court to challenge his ownership?
This happens all the time in business. Companies taking court action working together as it benefits one or both businesses. And it does raise the question why did they start negotiations?

Security of tenure.
Lets follow that through then. The FL say you must have at least 10 years secured. Wasps won't talk to the club. What happens then, you seem to be advocating the FL throw us out. Either that or the club have to accept any rental charge proposed by Wasps.

So how long should CCC have waited, nearly 2 years later sisu are still here and not looking like dropping the court cases anytime soon.

Yes I agree but I'm guessing ccc sold to wasps because ccfc rent wasn't enough to make it a profitable business.

Also as a side note. Sisu said many times they want the unemcumbered freehold of the Ricoh. Else it wasn't worth it because of the compass deal etc. that wouldn't of been good for ccfc as sisu would of just sold the Ricoh for housing and bought out the butts or something.

Ccc I agree torch have fucked us over with selling to wasps but there was a reason why. It's a tough one

Yes we had offices, a shop etc etc. We have them elsewhere now.
We would be paying matchday costs (policing etc) in both deals.

Its an opinion, as I mentioned, based on they make some money from us and the political implications affecting sponsorship.
Benefit of both business ? Don't make me laugh.
I suggest they started the negotiations when JR1 was lost.

Haven't Wasps pretty much now got it unencumbured? What would be the likeliness of SISU knocking the Ricoh down to build houses?

They're not unreasonable questions. A couple are a little leading, but the answers can be a simple rebuttal.

Not sure the answers will be illuminating either, but no harm in asking.

It would be nice if the FL set their stall out before we get to the point where we need to find out. Like you say "Not sure the answers will be illuminating either, but no harm in asking".

Whereas you just seem angry that they've been asked in the first place. Which is even odder for a CCFC fan.

I'm not angry, I am just pointing out how pointless it is and predicting exactly what will happen.

I notice you keep saying things are odd for a CCFC fan, I suggest you have a look about the place and see what really is odd for CCFC fans if you want to play those lines ;)

Sisu wanted it without the loan (Wasps took it on)
Sisu wanted all the current tenants out (Wasps kept them on)
There are more items if I read back.

Getting uppity about a local MP asking questions of the FL about the future of CCFC is odd behaviour for a CCFC fan. You went straight of in a different direction for some odd reason. Surely the FL need to be accountable for CCFC's future in some form and a local MP is someone of authority and well placed to do that. You should be grateful for that regardless of reply and regardless of who else you believe to be accountable. I really don't understand why you wouldn't do anything other than welcome this as a CCFC fan. To much to ask of you though.

You mean it's a cynical attempt to increase unrest amongst the club's supporters?

Oh... and on the off chance that the FL does throw out a tit-bit of information, that will be useful to Wasps in any negotiations for future use of the Ricoh.
I think most are well past the 'unrest" stage, it's now more a mixture of
Hopelessness, boredom and general Foreboding.

Do you think she is going to get answers? I think Dave has summed up what she is going to get back.

I am going to have a SISU out protest at lunchtime by eating a sandwich, I hope I get some pats on the back for it.
So everyone should do nothing because it will achieve nothing?
