Anyone watching it? I stopped at Ep4 so I can binge watch the rest. Giving me a West Wing style vibe. Keep wanting Keifer Sutherland to waterboard someone though.

They all die in the end ;)

*Just having a look about it now to see if it would tickle my fancy!

Is it more about politics or is it more of a thriller about the president?

Bit of both. Nice terrorist (or is it?) plot for your conspiracy theory fix, nice bit of political manoeuvring but not as subtle as West Wing or House of Cards, more accessible. Plus President Jack Bauer (sort of) what's not to like?

Jeez, I can see me losing a few hours now after watching the trailer.

Read the description that called it a political drama that made it sound rubbish, there is enough of that on here!

Is it on UK netflix too?

I've been watching it, like it so far.

Its pretty much both. Theres how things work politically going forward and then a parallel storyline about investigating what actually happened. Its not a million miles away from 24, not sure if that's intentional or not.

Never heard of it. Might check it out. Loved 24 and Kiefer Sutherland I have always been impressed with.

Not surprising. There seemed to be zero promotion from Netflix. It just appeared the morning after it aired in the states. There's another one turned up today, The Expanse, which hasn't had any publicity either.

Maybe they're seeing how many views they get compared to things they spend loads advertising.

Going to make a start on this in a minute :)

Hope it isn't too good, I'll have to binge.

Just gone to watch this weeks and there isn't one

Kal Penn (who plays Seth) was on the Daily Show last night. Turns out he is a comedian who went into acting and when they had the writers strike a few years back he went to work at the White House for Obama.

I do really like it, but hell is it annoying in its ridiculousness at times.

Someone black mailing the FBI guy. They tell him to go to the president and admit to killing the terrorist prisoner. Only doing so will enable him to get his kidnapped son back.

The FBI guy, Atwood, goes to the president and confesses. A PRIVATE conversation, no other ears in on it.

Good grief give me a break.

Real world for a second. FBI simply guy goes to the president, tells him the truth that he is being blackmailed. Asks the president to play along with the ruse and do a mock arrest and have him temporarily 'incarcerated' so it appears he has adhered to the instruction given.

Meanwhile FBI girl Maggie Q works with Atwood to find out who was doing the black mailing.

So simple. But no, in his very private one to one meeting Mr. FBI does exactly what he is told to say.

Plus, if he gets his son back then surely he can just retract his confession.

If he doesn't get his son back ..... he can retract his confession, cos he will probably be dead.

Grrrrrrrrr... plot holes in abundance.

Back on next week, don't know why they have the big huge break in the middle as I have lost a bit of interest now.

Yep, me too.

Hate the mid-season breaks. I always feel it makes shows lose their impetus.

TWD is the worst. We wondered who got killed by Negan and for a week or so it was all that people were talking about.

By the time the show came back on air after its break we no longer cared.

Was quite good! Bit of a cliffhanger at the end.

Always pisses me off when they drag out the baddies not being caught, same as Line of Duty (which is also back soon)

That bloke in corrie is still killing people and going unnoticed as well probably.

Me too. Much better since its return. And nice twist.

Still don't understand though why an FBI agent who is lying low would then go out and start interviewing people out in public. Especially when you have a very distinctive look and face. ;)
