Hope this is resolved soon. It would bring closure for her mum and dad.

I totally agree. I cannott comrehend what they have been through, and hope through the pain of it all that they eventually get some closure, and the answers they deserve.

Such a sad story. Hopefully this means closure is one step closer. My parents knew her quite well and often talk about what a nice person she was. Still missed by a lot of people.

I know the family well and have drank with John in the past, they are a great family.
I've a horrible feeling though I may also know one of the blokes arrested,if rumour proves to be correct.
I hope it isn't him. Hopefully they get closure though.

The police must know what went on and who did it, it's just they can't prove it. I hope they can crack this case for the benefit of her family.

I'm not entirely sure. They've arrested a 37 yr old ,two men and a woman last yr and now this trio, but lets hope they close it for her family.I wonder what items they have that were available for modern techniques to be utilised this time ?

Must be so frustrating for the family. So many false dawns.

Let's hope enough evidence can be found to finally arrest and charge the perpetrators.

One of two men who should have answered bail yesterday failed to turn up.

I hope they catch the bastards. Theyve rearrested someone so hopefully convictions coming. Her poor family deserve justice after all this time

Looks like they are searching coombe abbey again :(

They must be convinced that there is something highly relevant to the case hidden at Coombe. let's hope they can finally bring the family some closure.

I occasionally go fishing at Coombe but have only been once since the last search and felt really uncomfortable up in those woods, I haven't been back since.

I don't understand why it would be new evidence now?

If it came out a crime had happened in a place I had been 5 years ago I'd struggle to remember detail, yet people can suddenly remember strange blokes in a place 25 years ago.

I wonder if it 's just a fishing exercise,l (forgive the pun), to try and stir up interest. In the video on the CET website they're raking through leaves, surely they're not going to find anything from 25 years ago in a pile of leaves that's fallen in the last 2 week.

Looks like there are loads of journos down there, putting drones in the sky for filming and stuff.

It would be great if her family had closure though.

Also makes you wonder about Coombe Abbey, there are hundreds of dogs every day going through there off the lead. Surely little bits would have been found or they would have gone over to them?

Granted, they aren't trained sniffer dogs though.

I used to clean the Paynes windows when they lived on Woodway Close in Walsgrave, and was cleaning the house opposite today. Can't believe its been so long since she went missing doesn't seem it. Hope something comes of this latest search the family deserve closure.

It's tough to prove murder without a body. How do you even prove she was murdered? It sounds like the police really messed up this case. There must have been some forensic evidence left behind, but the police probably overlooked it and it will all be long gone by now.
