That doesn't explain why it happened 2 games into the season, does it?

Awfully good timing too, especially after they would have realised about 3 games in max how much of a loss it would be.
Especially after "That boat had long sailed" and "We're going to Sixfields for 3-5 years".

What's your opinion on why they moved back ?

Ties in nicely with the Wasps move doesn't it? Why else would it all be so sudden, I know people would have known about the Wasps move before that but I don't buy they came back because of a Boycott. They wouldn't do that 2 games into the season with a huge rush, they could have done it pre season and made the most of it. They would have known everything they needed to way before then in terms of numbers.

The Cathedral were also involved I think?

Very plausible, they're not known for getting figures right though, last season proved that, so a possibility is they forecasted a major loss due to boycotts and decided to come back with their tales between the legs. But that's just another guess I suppose.

The council never promised CCFC fans a new stadium and a site to be confirmed in three weeks.

True, they charged us more in rent than Wasps paid and then gave it to them for 250 years, longer than the life of the stadium. Still, who cares as long as SISU get slagged off, eh?

And I could mention a lot more like you, Tony, Dart, etc who don't give a fuck what part the Council played in our downfall.

I only see a council protecting an asset, whereas SISU were... protecting us fans I guess? LOL

I suggest you go take a look at the latest ruling from the "Supreme Court" where the Judged said in no uncertain terms that "SISU new full well what the rent on the Ricoh was when they signed for ownership" Or have you conveniently passed on that?

Ah, so they shaft us by selling it to a London based sporting franchise and they are just protecting their asset. Fair enough, I won't waste any of your time.

Yes, they did, of course. Does that make the rent level right or fair to the club you support?

You're only wasting your own time in believing SISU were doing it for the interests of the fans.

Yet again you need to read posts from my past saying CCC were culpable in the shitfest.... but you don't do research do you???

What's your opinion on why they moved back ?

I know you didn't ask me....but my 2p on this is that we moved back to the ricoh due to the murky pre-deal conditions of the sale to the wasps franchise.

I'd bet a fair few quid that one of the conditions of purchase was that wasps had CCFC in place as a sitting tenant......simply a "must" to attempt to calm the waters, help smooth the transition & embedding of the stripey cunts into the local sporting & wider community.....

We'll never know of course, but as I said, I'd wager a few quid on the above scenario.....the old ACL had been flashing their undies at wasps for a good long while......that much we do know.

.

They'd needn't have bothered. They were welcomed with open arms.

Do people honestly believe SISU came back because the council convinced them they this it was the first step to buying ACL. If they came back ACL would be sold to them.
At the same time ACL was getting sold to Wasps and SISU had no idea.
Then when they arrived back low and behold they discover they had been duped !!!!
It was never going to be sold to them!!

!

Well, that's what they said publicly. Even the good old CT printed the story.

When the little money grabber Robins jumped ship, we were 7 points off the play-offs and had played an extra game to all the teams above us.....

...the way some folks like to remember it, you'd think we'd were 7 points clear with a game in hand.

We had what 3 points from the first 8 games of the season? 50% win record - come on.

I wonder how this story would of panned out if SISU did get conttol of The Ricoh...

Well, I remember people on here writing to their councillors begging them not to sell to SISU as they would mortgage the Ricoh as soon as they got hold of it. Quite amusing that Wasps did the same thing within weeks. If SISU had've got hold of the Ricoh then I reckon there was a good chance that they would be gone by now as we would have been a lot more attractive to any potential investor or buyer.

If only you knew what your posts look like mate.. Talk about a kid having his sweets taken off him hahaha.

Not at all. It's just that I wouldn't "shudder" at the prospect of my team owning it's own stadium and being attractive to new buyers.

I reckon they would have loaded up some debt against it and there would have been city wide outrage. They would have said it's all about the football team and they weren't property developers to keep people happy, then they would have just waited a year or so and then claimed that the football team is just a bolt on to a property company.

SISU need to pay their investors, The Ricoh would of been a great asset to their investors, seems odd to think they''d sell up when they could of made more money for them in the long term.
