No crappy inexperienced ex-players please. We've done that before with McAllister (shudder), Butcher (shudder), Strachan (shudder), etc etc

Nilsson, Black...

Both our best and worst managers have come from nothing. It's certainly a gamble.

True, there are always exceptions. However, are we in the position to let some rookie manager "have a go"? I don't think so. The majority of ex-players we've had as managers have been shocking.

Denis Wise?

I wouldn't want any "name" that basically hasn't had any (or limited) managerial experience as we're not in the position to let someone learn the trade. I think Caldwell is wrong for the job because at least he's been a manager within the last year. It must have been seven or eight years since Wise had anything to do with managing.

Im basing it on absolutely nothing but Hartson passionate guy who would take no shit.....where we are in league one and with some of our players attitude think just what we need and think he could be perfect!

We'll take anyone who is prepared to sign up for a short time to run a team with a very low budget. If it goes wrong, they blame the budget. We won't get anyone who is decent or has ambitions to build something. Another Venus type at best.

Hartson is just another name thrown forward who's not suitable on every aspect. Only positive would be he may motivate in the dressing room.

Fuck it lets get Robbie Savage as well with Roy Keane driving the bus
So your suggestion boils down to managers who might attack Fisher if he crossed a line, tidy. :p
