Alright already in the bargaining stage.

If the kit is these colours Id be OK:

Is this really any worse than some of the home kits we've had?

The thing in her hand may look like a can of redbull, but it is a new device from a part owner who refused to sell his shared to allow Text a sub

Each to their own but I think the desperation of getting rid of SISU and replacing it with someone else needs to be assessed. If they removed our colours, badge (basically our history), whats to say they wont move us out of the city equally?

As much as I want these bastards to leave, as much as I want success, I just not sure I would want that much change where it doesn't feel like Coventry City anymore.
They would change the kit but only in the way we change it every year now, our colours Pretty much
fit in with theirs, why would they want too change it.
Of course we're desperate to see the back of SISU and with good reason, if they don't goSoon this
club will die, if It's true and Red Bull want to make us successful why would anyone oppose that.

OK read a bit more and it seems they like to change everything and claim it's a brand new club. Really don't think I could support that.

It may be SISU's parting gift to their customers.....

I can only assume it was for the freehold. Unsure as to why they would want that? Maybe someone else might have more of an idea?

Only reason I can think of is to allow development or mortgaging of the ground.

Anythinh else they could do with Wasps lease I think. Unless it's about Car Park C, don't the council still own that?

Without knowing anything about a potential deal I'd say CCC would be mad to turn it down if it meant investment and publicity.

Actually I've changed my mind, I'm 30 and I've had a season ticket since the day I was born, and in that time Coventry have provided me with some great memori..... well there was that time that we won the....... oh and that time we finished top of the.......

Oh yeah, in my 30 years of supporting Coventry through thin and thinner I've seen a couple of decent years in the Prem, a 5-0 win against the Champions Blackburn, beating Man Utd B in the Cup, being Top of League One for 6 days and that's about it,

If being successful means we lose the identity of being the only club in the football league to have not finished in the top 6 of any division in the last 50 years good bloody job

We know they don't mind a franchise either. Contary to what they say in public. I don't like Wasps. Certainly not going to like RB Coventry.

Why not just support a new team then? If CCFC loses it's identity, it's not CCFC. What if they change everything and they're not successful?

If we are relegated this season I think we will become the only club to have played in every division of the Football League
Div 4
Div 3 S and N
Div 2
Div 1
Premiership
Championship
L1
L2

Have I missed the logic? Surely you just support whoever wins the prem every year instead?

I think this Red Bull thing sounds a bit of a fantasy if I'm honest. But if such a thing were to happen then we will still be Coventry who won the FA Cup in 1987 etc etc. The 'Sky Blues' is a nickname attributed to Jimmy Hill, and so Red Bull Coventry for example would be another name on the engraving but its Coventry and the same football club, unlike MK Dons for example. So don't get your knickers in a twist just yet!

Because even though we're a massive bloody joke we're my massive bloody joke and my Dads before me. I would sell my kids for success with this club, the amount of my time and money invested in to City in the last 30 years is ridiculous. We DESERVE to see the team we support have some success. Bollocks to these "I wouldn't want to buy the title" fans, they'd soon be creaming themselves when we started winning

If the identity completely changes. If like shmee says they like to push the brand new club idea. I hate to break it to you, but it wouldn't be the same club. The team you support is CCFC not an arm of Red Bull worldwide.

Haven't the FA already set a precedent on this not happening with Hull? Yes I know you could point to MK Dons as a precedent for allowing this to happen but I recall them (rightly or wrongly, I'm going by memory) regretting this and vowing not to allow the situation to happen again. Hence the decisions surrounding Hull.

Yep - I don't think there's any way that the FA/FL would allow us to change our name to "Red Bull Coventry" for example.

Mind you, if RB spoke to SISU's solicitors they might say that they've got a chance if they take them on in the courts. ;)

personally I don't think it would go that far, there would be a balance between being taken over by Red Bull and still being Coventry City, I could see Red Bull Coventry and changing the logo but I think they'd regain some of the heritage of our club.

They don't have a good track record for this in other countries but it's my personal opinion. Could I support RB Coventry who have a bull on there badge and a Silver and Sky Blue kit, a RB Coventry that play in the City and have money invested to make us a decent outfit ? Absobloodylutely
