Just by the very fact that he would have presided over a City side that ended up in the lowest tier of league football. He has to hasn't he?

His abomination of a summer recruitment policy has cost us dear.

I liked him when he was here at first, but in the end he lost the plot and it's his and Venus's team building exercise that were a very major contributor to where we find ourselves now.

You obviously associate managers by the success of the team and by the same token if a team goes down they must hold a great deal of culpability.

Was expecting good things from Tony Mowbray, but he left the club with the squad ill equipped to make a fist of it in this division.

If we go down I think in years to come we will speak of Mowbray and just the mention of his name will leave us all thinking very negatively. (Everyone apart from CC4L of course)

Let's be fair, we could've been down 2 seasons ago if he hadn't kept us up. For the first 6 months of last season I loved watching us and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have had that belief and optimism that I've rarely ever felt as a cov fan. I wouldn't say he would be one of the worst managers but a large majority of the blame certainly has to go to him for this season and also the fact that we should've got out this league last season

Well he kept us up from a March run in and gave us a good half season. The fact we faded wasn't the problem for me. But this summer was a disaster for signings.

Slade had a tough job when he came in. Slade may not be able to save us, but he at least needs to improve us. I am not sure this is going to happen but it is early days.

I was well happy when he came and I expected great things from him.

We had a terrible slump, but I was prepared to give him the benefit of doubt and a fresh start.

The summer though was a disaster. We can blame Sisu for budgets or supporting him or whatever etc, but the bottom line is he was chasing players that were not attainable. That's down to Venus and Mowbray and nobody else.

Disastrous.

Like it or not TM is to blame for our current position...he brought in sub standard players with little or no foreseeable thought on tactics positions etc... when he 1st came here I genuinely thought SISU had pulled off a bit of a coup but after the intitial euphoria boy did it go downhill very very quick

I will always remember those 4 months where I dared to dream, but overall his stats are nothing to right home about and if he'd have clung on and not walked I'm sure they'd have only gotten worse.

I am basing the worst manager tag though, Stu, on if we go down. He will have very heavily be to blame for taking us down.

For me Peter Reid and Big Ron would be at the top of my list..... Mowbray got it to click big time for half a season. Really think SISU could have invested in that Jan to get us over the line. Obviously that's never gonna happen!

Also he walked away without payoff - he knew it was buggered this season. Yes bad recruitment, but this club is a shabbles now - who could blame him.

Not for me Otis. Bought a bright light to what had been for years and years, a very dim room for his first year in charge. After that he went he same way as every other manager under Shitsu. If the same thing keeps happening again and again then it's not the mangers fault though he already gets the blame.

Is it his fault the players he wanted to bring in wouldn't come so he ended up with a load of bang average or guff players ? maybe

But I enjoyed the football we played under him in an extremely difficult job .
Isn't it about time fans stopped blaming the managers , after all nobody has done any better here have they under SISU ???

And at the end of the season he would have been gone 36 games , out of the 46 games he oversaw 4 defeats this season .....so no it's not his fault

Even this season a big contrast in quality of football and organising the team between the start of the season with TM and what is being served up now. Two many drawn games at the start of the season when we were and still are missing a goal scorer. Nine years of failed managers. All of them useless? The common factor in all of this is Sisu. If we go down, I think most fans will know who to blame.

I've been a fan for around 14 years and I'm yet to see a manager who's been a success. Eric black maybe but I was only young then and it might have been different had he been granted another season in charge like thorn was. The best was probably robins but I still blame him for the Crewe 1st leg and again things might have turned sour had he stuck around longer

Whatever is going on behind the scenes is shite we all know that...BUT Mowbray brought in various players got lucky with Armstrong, Murphy and to some extent Kent...then it went downhill all the rest of his signings were very very very bad
