I always thought he would be good for us ER but would he now fit into what (I know what I would like) our ethos of the team should be, young hungry talented players who can push the club forward and grow with the team, not older players who let's be fair are big earners for little in return regarding length of playing career (tim sherwood and the like), and just use us for end of career wages, we have been there so many times, and yes we have had gems wisey and the like but I don't think Jason Roberts would have the same impact as the likes of Wisey had.

yes shelvey started one match for them and was only on the bench because gerrard lucus and spearing were all out and now gerrard and spearing are back he will go back out on loan, as dagleish said he would once they were back and yes the mellor who scored 8 goals in those starts though.

Mellor would not fit into our squad the way we play

We were linked with a loan deal for Shelvey not long ago. If AT is given some money (as he seems to think) Shelvey would be a good shout - assuming he will go back out on loan.

there's not many cheap goal scorer's out there atm really for full transfer unless you want to spend a lot

maybe some one from QPR or norwich as they are looking to get better bodies in and get rid of some

yeah he got injured at hull and had to go back but sheffers is doing well there atm so you know but now pearson want's him so no chance

Andrew surman would be another realistic player that I would like to see at Cov but I think he is now back in the Norwich side

Must admit Sheffers is liking his new role. But how long will we perservere with it i wonder??

Still need bodies in, but I wudnt necessarily change the line up while its working to accomodate the incoming players (if any). Dont want to unsettle the current squad although most players have been vocal in agreeing we need more bodies.

I do believe we need a left back tho as Hussey hasnt performed too well of late; hes pretty inconsodtant tbh, but while hes got no competition for the LB slot, hes bound to get complacent.

Mellor cannot even run anymore can he, hes totally overweight and not what we would be looking for quite injury prone too.
If you was to go for a more of a like for like of juke, then someone like Priskin,Hulse,Kane at spurs.

Kanes gone to millwall ! What! Yes hulse on loan obviously, knows the division well and is still able to find the net, and yes a lb would be good although i do believe attacking wise hussey especially with his crossing ability is one of the best in the league, still a little bit of work to be done on the defensive side.

yes, without a doubt Hussey has got a peach of a cross.

I read the other day Kane had agreed to go to Millwall, along with another Spurs youngster
