The fans have divided the club..are you really stating that Nick?
The fans division is an effect...not the causal factor.
I'm saying the protests the other day and others divided the fans, quite clearly.

Then if anybody says anything somebody gives it the divide and conquer line.

I've got it. Only throw balls and blow whistles when opposition are defending a corner. Obviously only affects the defending team!

As an effect yes...
But not the causal factor...do you agree?

Only the fans can make themselves divided, and it's no co-incidence that the divide and conquer line only comes out when it suits as an excuse.

Not a sniff of "divide and conquer" when people like WestEndAggro were giving it the "fucking scabs" lines and abusing other people.

Can sit here all day and say how shit things are at CCFC, but let's not make out people can do stuff and then hide behind the "It was SISU that made me do it".

For example tonight, The Trust are doing something the total opposite of dividing the fans and fair play to them!

This thread is mental.

I thought the protest was pathetic and pointless. All it has done is divide fans, which is evidenced by the last 12 pages. That doesn't mean I am a SISU lover, it means I don't believe throwing a few tennis balls on the pitch will make them leave.

In terms of players concentration - have any of you ever played in front of a few thousand hostile fans? Even more so, your own fans? Of course it affects concentration. It wasn't Millwall players having to remove the balls from the pitch. I hate playing this card, but I know for a fact it affected some of them.

As I said in an earlier post, there was possibly one song about the team, the rest was negative chanting. Again, of course that impacts the players from a motivational and confidence perspective. Remember how young and inexperienced our team is. Really pleased the Trust have organised a positive demonstration for tonight.

Somewhat a circular conversation, irrespective of view d and c is a tactic. I wont comment on others behaviours on this forum.
Root cause? Do a quick why, why, why analysis all leads to one prime suspect our owners ?

Agree re trust...

So where does the line stop where everything can just be blamed on others?

"Ah I just punched that other fan because of SISU"
"SISU made me angry so I just called my boss a prick and I got fired"

It isn't really an excuse is it. At what point at people responsible for their actions, and at what point is it because of SISU or other people?

You make some interesting points and make them well.
However im not sure you can present 'fact' as above.
This is a passionate game..a passion for life...'more important than' to quote.
I cant condone or condemn those who express their frustrations in this way but as in previous post accepting that fan disruptions have cost us points as 'fact' ;
What of the other defeats this season what are the data driven facts telling us?
Why do fans protest?
What else can they (we) do to rid our club of this regime?

How are those tennis balls going to get rid of them?

Bolton we were 2-1 up against a team towards the top end of the division holding on for a win.

It's a fact that it is absolutely stupid to blow whistles while our players are trying to concentrate to hold onto the result.

I didn't say there was, I said where do you draw the line on being able to blame SISU for things and put it down to it being a protest or "passion" etc etc.

Some of the people I saw throwing tennis balls didn't look angry, they looked like it was the best thing ever.

Facts need data..its an opinion.

Using your 'out" technique...respectfully where did i state that i agree..or think that throwing tennis balls will get rid of SISU?

The data / fact is that 3 protests have had goals scored just after them.

Yes, we have also conceded without protests. It is the same as saying that when Burge booted that player in the cup and got sent off it wasn't his fault because we have let goals in before and conceded penalties before that.

That is a fact...3 goals after 3 protests...but it isnt the fact that the goals were conceeded because of the protests is it?
Circumstantial..agreed...
What is a fact is that this regime are systematically destroying our club...and fan unity as an effect of their strategy.

No, but it is a fact that if there have been protests before and goals straight after that if you are a city fan you don't then do it again just in case it means we concede again?

It's weird how fan unity is all SISU's fault, but I'd bet that people saying that won't have a bad word said about the silly protests like the tennis balls.

So no protests during games just in case..?
My argument is fan dis-unity IS SISUs fault yes...
Do you not agree?

You're making something out of nothing . When Charlton and City fans threw pigs onto the pitch it was a protracted stoppage. We got heavily beaten that game. Why haven't you made a link between the atmosphere/actions at that game and the result ? Why not blame the pigs for our performance ? "well it's not the same " I hear you cry. Too right it's not. A few tennis balls in the corner barely stopped the game any longer than a player rolling around injured for 3 minutes would have done. Have you watched the video of the first Millwall goal ? How many Coventry players look towards Singers corner as Burge pulls the ball out of the net ?

It isn't the same is it as we didn't directly concede? If the pigs happened when we were defending a corner and then we conceded then it would be the same thing.

It's the same reason that nobody has ever blamed a sit in or the coffin protest for a goal being conceded.

What you need to come to terms with is that this team is incapable of defending. Instead, you are blaming the supporters . Watch the replay.

So if the team can't defend very well, it is surely not the best idea to throw things on the pitch when we are defending a corner as we need all the help we can get. Obvious right?

No The facts is that after 2 stoppages goals have been scored. Stoppages happen. Professional players should be able to consistently deal with that.

The latest actually being a stoppage that was already underway as a corner had to be set up and even then the stoppage wasn't the problem because that was happening any way. The problem was an inability to defend a set piece. You may argue that the stoppage was extended because of the protest, still not really an excuse was it. What if the ref had to stop the corner from being taken a couple of times because of pushing and shoving in the box? Would we have conceded because of the pushing and shoving causing an extended delay before the corner could be taken or because of an inability to defend a set piece? It's an inability to defend a set piece isn't it? Faux Anger.

The first time. Fact is the game was back in full flow and we have a reputation for letting in late goals anyway so who's to say it wouldn't/couldn't have happened anyway? Odds are it could have. Faux Anger.

As for whistle gate, do me a favor. Like I pointed out earlier are we really supposed to believe that one of our players (and it was only one) thought that a whistle blown from the crowd (other end of the ground too IIRC) was blown by the ref who was only stood yards away from him? Fact is one player started to change direction to move into space to receive the ball and another just wasn't reading the game at all. Player error (as witnessed regularly this season) = Faux Anger

Not forgetting that all these "issues" only seem to happen to players in CCFC kit. We're yet to witness the opposition switch off because of it. Can you explain that phenomenon? I bet you cant.

Again Tony, was it faux anger in the stand on Saturday?

If the issues only happen to our players it's common sense not to do it then isn't it and stop after the first time?

If everybody is so keen to point out we lack concentration at the end of the game it's even more reason not to try and put our own team off.

Tony, which of them have you witnessed anyway?

You can't stop stoppages from happening. They're part and parcel of the game. Why isn't this phenomenon effecting the other set of players?

Was it faux outrage on Saturday?

If it only effects ours, don't you think it's a good enough reason not to take that risk when we are defending a corner?

A stoppage from injury isn't the same as picking up tennis balls. Why do managers always hold back a substitution when defending corners etc?

I think we should ban people with colds in case coughing and sneezing puts the poor dears of. They're easily startled apparently. Best stop singing too in case that puts them of. Best not do the planned Trust card display when they come out on to the pitch tonight also. They've never see it at the Ricoh before, they might all run back in and hide in the dressing room they're such a delicate bunch. Apparently.

Yes, because a sneeze is the same as the players picking up Tennis Balls isn't it?

Was it faux outrage you keep going on about on Saturday? Or is it more the fact you haven't got a clue.

What were your thoughts on the complaints from Bolton players about whistles or the Sheffield United players?

Oh my God, this debate still going on.

Look tennis balls or not, our guys on the pitch are paid to defend corners no matter what pressure they under. Even when the crowds are abusing the players. If they can't handle a set of tennis balls thrown on a pitch then we really need to question our players mental abilities as players.

Less of the excuses for there failures please and ends this debate as it's becoming a joke.

I have watched City play for over 30 years now and this is the worst performance I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing.
