Yes for sacking Ranieri, they are premier league champions and in the champions league, it's absolute madness, it's not like the new man will be able to bring any players in.
Players let him down badly, but If they get the right one in they stay up.
Should have brought in more fresh talent for this season to stop them resting on their laurels.
Very decent guy, maybe his pleasant positive demeanour that helped them achieve last season has cost him this.
Not sad for the guy though great CV and sure to get a decent follow up position.

I like ranieri, but they have been awful this season, and unfortunately thr manager usually pays for that. I think they will go down regardless of whether ranieri stayed or not. He has a good CV and will get another job, although he was a contributing factor, he also had a perfect storm where a lot of average players had thr best season of their careers, doesn't happen in thr PL very often, but has done a few times in the championship in recent years. Add to that all of the big 4-5 had very poor seasons. Still a remarkable feat mind. His biggest mistake wasnt adequately strengthening the squad in the summer.

His cv is not that great and most will see through one lucky year, unless he goes to China or somewhere like that his time may be up.

to be fair there was uproar last time they sacked a manager. less than a year later they were champions.

I get that they massively over achieved last season Stupot but we have seen many sides not expected to win the league find themselves at the top but then fall away, I think Ranieri gets massive credit for keeping that momentum going last season. I also believe he deserved the right to try and keep them up and go as far as they can in the CL.

A sad end to one of the greatest stories in football. Players let him down badly this season, they should have been busting there gut for ranieri.

It all goes back to the obscene amount of money the PL is worth and the disparity with amount of cash you get in the Championship. It makes staying in the PL at all costs the priority. Many a manger would have probably kept his job a bit longer had the costs of relegation not been so high, its also thr reason thr PL clubs treat the FA Cup with so much disrespect.

In his/their defence, I think they've nose-dived this season on the back of two main factors.
Losing Kante was a massive loss...massive. More than just coincidence that the side he left has struggled and side he's joined is running away with the PL.
Secondly, I think the focus of the Champions League has probably helped them become more complacent this season.
They're one goal away from the CL QFs and they sack their manager who created history by winning them their first ever PL trophy?!

Let's hope not. Pardew is a decent manager who has generally improved results when he has gone to a club. Look what happened to Newcastle when he left and did well at Palace initially. Would much rather they went for someone like Mancini who is overrated and not used to relegation battles.

Average players bar a few, the gaffer worked his magic and got them believing they could do it, the top teams were shit and he took the chance. Then these players get massive bonuses and wage increases etc and all of a sudden they dont have the desire or hunger as before. I like him but as usual the players dont perform and the gaffer takes the hit.
Why didnt they keep him and if they got relegated let him rebuild a team and clear out the deadwood?

Pardew wins in blocks and loses in blocks if he could get into the losing spell they would be in massive trouble.
The owners didn't want him, the fans turned against him and reports are coming out now that the players went full Fletcher Christian mutiny style on Ranieri even though he gave them their finest hour less than a year ago.
I can understand some of the hate Leicester City are getting right now.

No one (not even their own fans!) thought Leicester would defend the title a second time round, but rather than being remembered as the team who overcame all the odds to become champions, they'll now be remembered as the champions of England who embarrassingly got relegated the following season. The reputation will be stained if they go down!

They are far from down tbf.
He should have been given the respect to sort out the obvious inability of the players to make things happen on the pitch as they did last season. He should have addressed it earlier perhaps, with a clear the air meeting with his players but tbh those players have not performed this season. Where's Vardy been all season? Yes Kante was a huge blow but a team that won the premier league (even given the usual suspects were all transitioning tbf) did not do it on the back of one player. Mahrez was sensational and where has he been this season?
