I know Paul - dyed in the wool Sky Blue lad (with an incredible collection of Sky Blue memorabilia). He is spot on about the lack of probing questions by the CWR team. As fans, we are full of passion,angst and frustration at the end of (most) games, and to then hear Geoff (bless him) ask 'I see you switched formations at half time' but then not follow up with ''Did you get it wrong' , 'why not attack from the outset'. etc etc. 90+% of the questions are fawning. We, as fans, don't have the opportunity to grill the manager and it's galling when they don't. Paul may have been a bit OTT with 'I wan't you to humiliate the manager' - but I get that he wants our frustration given a voice.

'So, where do you think it went wrong today?'
You took such and such off in the second half, what was the thinking behind that?'

Agree Otis. Geoff generally does the interviews, and I don't know if he has that passion/drive/ whatever in him to ask tough probing questions. Wasps, aside, I know he is a rugby man, and whilst he may have feelings for the City? it really doesn't come across. I'd much sooner Paul/Juggy/ other passionate fan (who has been to the match) was allowed to grill him post match live on air. Far more satisfying. (Grendel can too, even if it is under a pseudonym!)

We could have also asked what was the thinking in playing 4 centre backs... why isn't Bigi playing is it because of triggers in contracts... updates on injured players... why now keep playing loan players pick the possible future team not a makeshift team... Geoff might be a lovely bloke so is my Dad but I wouldnt want him doing interviews either

Twice a week on Sky,before mid-week matches,and weekend matches Premiership managers pre-match interviews are shown on Sky. virtually every question you've heard a million times before, so have the managers,and most of the answers have been heard countless times before.
Last season when we were flying under Mowbray ,he could have read a Janet and John book after the match,and I doubt most fans would have cared a jot. Have a run like Slade has had, and fans aren't going to be appeased by anything he has to say.
Ask Slade why he picked a certain team, and he will always be able to give reasons why, its just when you are constantly losing that fans won't agree with his selection or tactics. Why didn't you pick player A,answer he took a knock in training,or he had looked 'leggy' in training. Why did you pick player B, answer he had look really sharp in training,etc etc. Why did you pick player C at full back instead of player D?,well I wanted a bit more physicality at the back to counteract the oppositions long ball style. The problem is when the team are play poorly and the results are terrible,every answer a manage gives, just comes across as blah,blah,blah to fans. The only answer Slade could possibly give to appease the fans is,I'm resigning.

Geoff is a massive supporter of local sports and has been with the BBC for nearly 25 years. What he isn't is a Paxman style journalist who is going to put pressure on those he is interviewing. I don't have a problem with that but it really needs someone else in the local media to step up to that role.
Shane O'Connor seemed a likely candidate until he was removed in somewhat suspicious circumstances.

The total lack of constructive opinion was blatant, from the ex-PE teacher, gross ineptitude is forthcoming from all of his words.
Of course, this is the man selected by Fisher, (who has a great knowledge of football), what a crock of shit !!!!

But at least the right areas have been explored and Fisher has had the opportunity to clear matters up. It helps prove Fisher hasn't got the answers and is the wrong man to turn things around at Coventry. Fisher can only be deemed right for the job if the policy is to make Coventry fail.
