Cannot seriously believe after all the crap under SISU that so many posters are so eager for Hoffman to take over the club without due diligence.

It's like they haven't learned the lessons of the past!

I mean here's a consortium that are offering up percentages of future transfer fees as a deal sweetener.

How the fook will the club sustain itself if the owners are giving away 50% of one our only sources of revenue.

We need to scrutinise this deal very carefully and not in our haste to get rid of SISU, accept owners that could be considerably worse.

Our revenue will increase considerably via an immediate increase in gates when this lot fuck off, had you not factored that in?

You'd like to think that was the case but I'm dubious we would gain that many more 'regular' fans! For a few games I think people would feel like they have to attend after making such a big hoo ha for so many years. Like the fuss people made getting us back from shitfields, sold out first game then back to normal the very next game.
The problem is, all these people who say NOPM until they go, are people who never went in the first place. 85-90% of my 'nopm' friends, haven't been in years anyway so we haven't lost what we never had to begin with!

Twenty odd thousand regulars when Sisu took over. Why wouldn't they at least come back? All we need is some success.

And I'd of said the attendances were more 16-17kaverage.
Don't think we've topped over 20k average since we fell from the prem.

Ask the Trust to arrange an open meeting with Hoffman where he can be asked to explain what his plans for the club are, what our expectations should be if one of his bids is accepted, would they want to keep Robins, what the plan for the academy would be? etc etc
Wouldn't he be hammered then for being presumptuous that his bid was being accepted? I am sure Tim and friends would have something to say about holding meetings before a deal is agreed. He has already mentioned that they would try and arrange a longer term deal at the Ricoh and that the academy would be a priority too. As soon as a deal is concluded I think the meeting and all forms of communicating his ideas would be good. Until then I think it is better to say as little as possible. The point about scrutinising the deal makes it sound that fans will be consulted and have influence.
To say better the devil you know.....Absolutely unbelievable

Have a look at average attendances for the first few Ricoh seasons. This is fans turning up to watch a team going nowhere and with no success since 1987.

What have the 1st few ricoh seasons got to do with anything??? We moved to the ricoh in 2005, we were taken over by sisu in 2007!!! What's your point? My argument was we averaged less than 20k when sisu 1st took charge.
Whether we were going nowhere or not, we were still a championship club playing in a new ground so obviously our attendances were up! Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

Your point is that with or without Sisu our attendances wouldn't go up by much. I disagree. We have had big attendances in the past on a consistent basis( not just one off games) and it will happen again. Sisu going in itself would be a boost. Sisu going and some success on the field would see attendances rise. Coventry fans are no different to those elsewhere. The difference here is that for 50 years we have had a team that that have lost far more games than we have won. Add in Sisu, no stadium, Northampton and two relegations, it is not surprising we have disenchanted fans. That can and will change when Sisu go and we get a bit of success.

I used to think this.
Fear there is a real danger the more protracted the exit, the switch off likely becomes permanent.
Hope that is wrong.

How the fook will the club sustain itself if the owners are giving away 50% of one our only sources of revenue.
Perhaps the consortium is not planning to sell our best players for the first three years and instead they plan to fund the club from the increased attendances plus their own money? Do you realize it's not compulsory for a club to sell its best players every year?

We need to scrutinise this deal very carefully and not in our haste to get rid of SISU, accept owners that could be considerably worse.
And this was the remark that made everyone realize that you are simply on the wind-up. Worse owners than SISU!!! How is that even possible?

Cov fans are fickle! They won't all come back, a lot didn't come back after NOPM days, when we returned to the Ricoh! (After Gillingham game).

We are a 9,000-14,000 week in week out attendance club regardless of who owns the club!

And barring on season in a shiny new stadium, we haven't!!

And to be fair, even in the premier league we struggled to hit 20k (just seen stats that somebody has put up)!
Looking at those stats our 'regular 20k fams' is miles off. Go back 40 years to 1977 and we've only averaged above 20k 5 times!! That's not very regular if you ask me!
