Thought Grimmer was beaten too easy again today, Torch. It's a worry to his game. I wouldn't give him any more than 6 as a result.

Our drummer - 2 - mindless bashed away and clearly limited in ability.
Their drummer 7 - had a semblance of a sense of rhythm and managed to keep something resembling a consistent beat.

Even with the poor drumming the atmosphere was a lot better in the first half when everyone was grouped together in block 15

Honestly thought we had a good solid game but nobody really stood out, Jones looks great every time he gets the ball, our back 4 are the best they've been in a long time, I'd give everyone a 7, decent performance.

Burge - 6, not much to do. Hesitant to come off his line in the first half at one point
Stokes - 7, better with the ball today
Mcdonald - 8, concrete Rod
Willis - 8, just as dominant as Rod
Grimmer - 6, bit hesitant in the tackle, may be carrying a knock
Doyle - 7, pinged some decent passes about
Kelly - 9, my motm. Can't recall him giving the ball away. Glued everything together today.
DKE- 6, worked hard
Jones- 7, created the goal but went missing for sections of the game
Biamou - 6, won some decent headers. Not much threat though
Nazon - 8, great finish, should have had more but for their keeper

Burge - 7 clean sheet, fine with me
Grimmer - 6 pretty decent at this level, got turned once but we recovered. Better going forward
Mcdonald - 8 solid. Strong, quick, wins headers.
Willis - 8 same again. Quite impressed with him today
Stokes - 6.5 decent enough for me. Showed good pace at times. Must admit I think Haynes will be excellent in this team although stokes doesn't deserve to lose his place just yet.
Jones - 7 quieter game, although got an assist and ran well. They had 3 on him at times.
Doyle - 7 did his job well without being spectacular
Kelly 8.5 my motm. Calm on the ball, growing in stature in this team. Bite in midfield and always made him self available
DKE - 5.5 sorry to do this. I understand the situation and I'm not writing him off at all. But based on that he's got alot of work to do to stay in this team when everyone is fit. Ran his socks off which is all I can ask but for me, he probably should have come off at 70 mins. However we won the game so it worked.
Biamou - 6 decent enough and lots of potential there. Didn't really prove a threat today but I appreciate his efforts and potential
Nazon - 7.5 on another day could have had 4. Tricky player, holds it up, real surprise package.

Beav - no score but worked hard, good touches and impressed.

Burge 6 - A couple of dodgy moments, but otherwise a steady game.

Grimmer 6 - Beaten out wide again too easily on a couple of occasions. Otherwise he supported the attack quite well.

Willis 7 - Solid game from him today

McDonald 7 - Commanding. Couple of small errors in his game today

Stokes - 7. Rock steady pretty much.

DKE - 6. Thought he was out-muscled a bit too easily on occasions and also seemed reluctant to take the ball forwards at times and more often than not always went for the easy option.

Kelly 7.5 - Don't think he put a foot wrong today.

Doyle 6.5 - A few errors today, but also did play a couple of lovely through balls too.

Jones 7 - Started really brightly and unlucky not to score. Triple marked at times.

Nazon 7 - Started well and a well taken goal. Faded a bit in the second half and looked jaded.

Biamou 6.5 - Worked really hard and had a right old battle with the Crewe defence, but again looked jaded and exhausted in the second half.

Beavon 7 - Thought he breathed a breath of new life into us when he came on. Worked the ball well and some good link up play too.

Was interested why it took robins so long to make the change and I think it was cause the change was biamou for beavon but he thought we would miss biamou in the air.

Was absolutely the right change but I think possibly 15 mins late

Burge - 6
Steady with little to do, a few bizarre moments tho and went for a wonder in the first half.

Grimmer - 6
A fair game, does the job well confident and vocal.

Stokes - 6
Another steady display, tho shocking attempt on goal

McDonald - 8
Nothing gets by him and rarely puts a foot wrong. Great distribution and defending. Brace yourself for bids in January.

Willis - 7
looks better each game he plays alongside Mcdonald. Solid today

Jones - 7
Had a great first half till Crewe doubled up on him, good work for the assist.

Kelly - 7.5
Didn't put a foot wrong today, unsung hero lately with his work in the middle

Doyle - 7
Steady enough again, does what it says on the tin

DKE - 6
Reasonably quiet today but didn't do anything particularly wrong.

Biamou - 7
Won his share of headers and links up well with nazon. Developing well, won't be long till he scores and deserves it.

Nazon - 6.5
Took his goal well but I've took 0.5 off his score for his second half strop and selfish nature at times. Not sure why he wasn't subbed off around 80th minute as he fades late on in games.

Beavon - 6.5
Pushed Crewe back 10 yards when he came on as we began to sink deeper under pressure. Some good touches too.

Totally agree. Needed a change around 60 mins and I think it was about 63 when Clive Eakin said they had called Beavon back to the bench from warming up and it looked like he was coming on.

He actually came on after 72 mins.

Clearly needed an earlier change I reckon as we were hardly having any possession at all.

DKE never seems to beat his man. Always the sideways pass and to lightweight.
Needs to have more confidence and take the ball to the bye line and then get the cross in.
Will never be a target man like Vincenti.

Burge: 6. I thought he had his poorest game of season so far; couple of wanders and hesitant at times. However couple of decent saves.

Grimmer6.5 got beat a couple times but stuck to his task. Made at least one vital tackle. Good support going forward...covered lot of ground

Willis 7. Getting better with each game. Growing in confidence playing with McDonald.

McDonald 7.5 solid, unflappable. Some good distribution. What we needed last year, and year before and year.....

Stokes 6.5. Still not back to his best but improving. Looked better defensively today. Made up ground impressively once in first half.

Doyle7. Another Doyle game. Protects back 4 well.

Kelly 8. My man of the match. Breaking up play and keeping things ticking. Didn't put a foot wrong. Working well with Doyle.

DKE 6.5. Worked hard. Needs a bit more confidence on the ball but makes good contributions.

Jones 6.5. Looked on fire for 25 mins but faded out of game. Increasingly showing he can go inside or outside people. Very good assist: his persistence and look up.

Duck 6.5 well taken goal. Ball does seem to stick to him when he turns. A little selfish I thought 2nd half. Ran out of steam and should have gone off with 15 to go.

Biamou 7. Thought he was doing well in the air and a good foul for Duck. Then a slight injury ...and then tired quickly. Substitution could have taken place 5-10mins earlier.

Beavon. Just what we needed to help see the game out. Would have liked him on a few mins earlier.

Robbins 6.5. Has got team believing in themselves and playing to the strengths. I think he will be pleased that once jones was double marked the team were still able to create. I wish he would use subs a bit earlier in a game

Think Kelly deserves a lot more credit than people give him, has been fantastic all season breaking up play and starting attacks. In my opinion he just behind McDonald and Jones as our best players this season
Indeed. Man of the match for me today.

Not great today and didn't offer much. Thought he might have been substituted if Biamou hadn't ran out of steam.

6 Burge. Seems to of been working on goal kick routines and I was impressed with it. Seems like Biamou starts on the touchline with Duke in the middle, ball aimed at Duke with Biamou running in taking a running jump and winning most with a flick on to Duke.

6 Grimmer. Their big number 10 beat him too easily on a couple of occasions but got forward well.

6 Willis. Not a particularly bad game but slipped at an opportune time defending that could of cost us a goal. (I'm old fashioned when it comes to boots sorry, none of this moulded shit. Black boots, laces up the middle, studs in the bottom NOT rubber moulds. ESPECIALLY for big lumps of defemders)!

8.5 Concrete Rod. Name says all you need to know. Solid, dependable, exactly what we need. Just wish we'd signed him last season instead of Turnbull and maybe now we'd still be in L1.

Stokes 5.5. Better today than he has been but still a mile off his old self. Not sure what he's lacking but he needs to find it.

Doyle 6.5. Done what I expect him to do today. Was guilty of a few sloppy passes. One header in our half that McDonald came for and he headed it anyway and gave it away will a CH now out of possession. Also defending with his hand up giving away a free kick we almost conceded from.

Kelly 7. Worked well today and didn't give their midfielders much time. Good passing.

Duke 7. Took his goal well and was strong going forward. Linked well with Biamou, they have a real understanding forming. Have marked him down 1 purely because a lot of the time he does too much on the ball. 1 touch too many when a cross/pass/shot could be taken he ends up losing it. I love watching him bit it frustrates me too.

JJ 7.5 Switched on enough to make the most of the corner flag keeping us in play. Switched well with DKE and at times the LB and RB didn't know which way to turn.

DKE 6. Very talented player, but at the min for me he's our weak link in the starting 11 (in the best possible way, if a player playing well is our weakest link then it's a strong chain). Seems very weak on the ball and is pushed off of it too easily too often. A bit like the Jones of last season. Maybe whatever MR has Fed to JJ, he should give to DKE too.

Biamou 7. Won almost every high ball played to him. Even when they doubled up on him. Crewe had to revert to cheating tactics in the end to try and nullify him. He looked very tired towards the end. At one point came back to defend a set piece and was the last man out the area playing 4 or 5 players onside.

Beavon 6.5 Looked good when he came on. Worked well and linked well with Duke.

Burge 6 - did not look as assured this week as in previous weeks, particularly in the first half. Another clean sheet though.

Grimmer 6 - a few nice forays forward, but was also exposed down his flank a few times in the second half.

Willis 7 - another solid performance.

McDonald 8 - seriously how good is this bloke?

Stokes 7 - actually thought today was one of his better games this season. The less said about his "effort" on goal, though, the better.

Kelly 8 - gets through a mountain of work in the middle, but also picks a pass better than his midfield partner. Like McDonald, I wonder if we'd still be in League One if we had him last season.

Doyle 6 - I didn't think he was all that great today. Gave the ball away too much for my liking, especially when Crewe were starting to take control of the game in the second half.

Jones 7 - made life hell for Crewe's full backs, especially Bakayoko, in the first 15-20 minutes. Reasonable outside of that period.

Nazon 7 - took his goal well and generally bustled about for the most part. Sometimes looks so good on the ball, but I do agree with others that he often takes the wrong option (or no option at all). Again though I'm happy to cop that so long as he keeps scoring goals.

Biamou 6.5 - just a game today. Three games in seven days clearly caught up with him because he was running on the spot through the second half.

Beavon 7 - his introduction pretty much snuffed Crewe's challenge out. Did what he always does - worked his socks off, showed some neat touches and interplay, didn't score )

Corner Flag 4 - other than keeping the ball in play for Jones, what else did the flag do, really? Just stood there all game in the same spot, unmoved. Lazy, lazy stuff.

Ah come on! Fluttered a couple of times in the wind and more aggressively 2nd half so corner flag is a 6 for me.

Kelly is massively under rated, had a brilliant game yesterday, his positioning, winning free kicks, passing and breaking up play is superb. Rod was also strong but thought they looked weak coming forward but he made it look very easy.
Both my stand out players and MOM

Kelly is massively underated by who?

Gauging from here, apart from a couple of games where he didn't play well, people have been rating him highly in just about every game and many have him down as MOTM for yesterday.

I wouldn't say that he is underated at all to be honest.

Well earlier in the season the suggestion was that we should get him out the team as he and Doyle were too similar and Doyle the better option.

I think maybe unsung hero than underrated. It's taken till the last couple of games for people to really see what he is doing. Earlier in the season there were calls for him to be dropped for Stevenson to make us more creative. Now he's one of the first names on the team sheet - along with basically the rest of the first XI which is brilliant.
