The EU moves at a snail pace when they want and as quick as lightning when they want.

They call what Luxembourg have done when Juncker was in charge fraud. Yet you are happy for him to carry on in his position.

On radio this morning he was asked to resign unless he could guarantee there would be no more stories.
But it is clear attitudes have changed and what was tolerated and easily brushed aside 20 years ago could be a resignation matter these days.

Juncker helped set up the tax dodge in Luxembourg. They ended up with many more companies registered in Luxembourg than they have residents. These companies...including many multinational companies.....are registered in Luxembourg. They pay a minimal amount of tax to Luxembourg which covers them for their whole tax bill for their liabilities to countries all the way through the EU. This includes the UK. The UK has lost many billions alone from this scam.

So yes I am outraged that it was allowed to happen. It is a joke that he was allowed to stand for one of the top jobs in the EU. The UK didn't want him to get the position. But as usual we had no say. I am eager to get this sorted out.

But what faith can we have in the investigation into how it was set up when the person who was in charge of Luxembourg for 19 years still has a top job in the organisation that is looking into what even they call fraud?

You kept saying that we should chase up all fraud that is costing the UK billions. But once Luxembourg and Juncker were named you are not after chasing up fraud that has cost the UK billions but instead are looking for excuses for him.

Don't you get the drift of this thread? It is either the fault of Brexit or it isn't a problem.

Doctors and nurses are leaving because they are overworked and underpaid. Why haven't they quoted that part?

Overall, the number of nurses leaving the NMC's register is higher than the number joining, the statistics show.

The regulator has said the introduction of tougher language tests may also have influenced the trends.

The figures show 1,107 new nurses joined the register from other EU countries in the 12 months ending this September.

This compares with 10,178 the year before.

Meanwhile the number of UK graduates leaving the profession has increased by nine percent.

Jackie Smith, NMC chief executive said the trends were "worrying", with numbers of UK and EU registrants both dropping.

She said the NHS had "major challenges" recruiting and retaining staff.

Saffron Cordery, from NHS Providers, said: “We need urgent steps to help ease intolerable workplace pressures. There should be clarity on what the end of the pay cap means. And the government should confirm the right to remain for EU staff working in the NHS.”

The stories I have to listen to most weeks about the NHS are very concerning, especially working 13 hour shifts with no break and having only 2 midwives working a shift in a major city due to shortages. The pay in Italy is not far off now considering the exchange rate, oh and the shifts are only 8 hours.

From what I understand it is due to shortages. The last hospital she worked in along the coast was even worse. Don't want to post stories about it on here though.
