Just been watching 'Modern Life is Goodish' and just wondered if anyone else liked him and/or indeed, the show?

It's an interesting one for me, because I find him humourous, but just not laugh out loud funny. Always find that relaying the recolection from the show to other people brings more amusement afterwards.

I'm sure there's many out there who can't stand the bloke or find him remotely funny, but I find him clever and inventive and I do smile pretty much all the way through his shows.

Thoughts?

Seen one of his, very random bloke, he was looking for people with the same name.

Yep, that's him. Nearly always does Powerpoint presentations. He also did one on Googlewhacks (Google results that one produce one single return of info).

Modern Life is Goodish is a new series on Dave. Last night was all about shredding porn mags and posting out disposable cameras to ramdom people.

i really enjoy him and the show, but like I say, he's just not laugh out loud funny for me, just amusing and clever.

Am guessing it's just me watching then. :thinking about:

I saw him a few years ago and decided he was as funny as the last attack of food poisoning I had. Suffice to say I haven't given him much time since then

Each and every to their own.

I do find him very humourous, just not a belly laugh type of guy.

Barely anyone makes me really laugh these days. Feels like comedy has to be smart arse or political. I watched some old fast show and Harry Enfield clips on you tube. Now that did make me laugh!

There are quite a few more 'clever' comedians around. Dave Gorman is famous for his observations on life and his pointing out the ridiculousness of some aspects of this modern world we live in.

It's not for everyone for sure, but I do like clever humour.

Yeah, that was great wasn't it.

Still think the best he's done though is the Dave Gorman search for everyone else in the world called Dave Gorman.

Odd that. I thought it was totally unfunny. Yet I find your sense of humour very amusing Otis! As you say no accounting for different tastes

I generally watch the post-midnight repeats on Dave ja vu as there's little else interesting shown at that time.

His presentations aren't necessarily 'funny' but they are often intriguing.

Some people say Lenny Henry is a comedian.

Strange world my friend.

He was in 1979 when doing impressions of your West Indian family was funny!
But yeh I cringe if I see him on the television now.
He's an ok bloke just not a comedian!

Been viewing the series, excellent stuff.. love it.

Yep, it's very good.

Even have my wife and my 10 year old as avid viewers now, though I have to fast forwards through the odd naughty bit.

It's very intelligent and also very cutting about the world we now find ourselves in and all its little idiosyncrasies.

Modern Life is still Good-ish as Dave Gorman gets two more series

Dave Gorman will be back on Dave for more, as Modern Life Is Goodish has been renewed.

The show will go into production in 2016 and 2017 for two more eight-episode series. The upcoming third series is scheduled for autumn.

So inspired by Gorman, I decided to pick up a message or three from https://www.celebvm.com/

Suffice to say... it hasn't quite gone to plan!

My autobiography will take a very odd turn when relating the events of 2016, and when explaining why various women no longer spoke to me...

Could it be the artichokes causing this problem ? :)

I like Dave Gorman, he makes me laugh but not really belly laugh, same as otis.
However, the episode where he got a tattoo of his driving license while drunk in the States did have me howling :D

Love Dave Gorman, makes a nice change from "comedians" trying to be the next Peter Kay or the next Ben Elton.

Dave Gorman is the kind of show I stumble into when bored late evening. Like Otis I find him very good clever-cock ha-ha stuff rather than hilarious belly-laughing stuff...but very good all the same. It strikes me as a kind of obscure humour to most

...onwards & upwards PUSB

Thought last week's episode was very funny, where he was changing the chassis of toy cars so they started speaking German and Spanish instead of English.
Still have to watch last week's.

As I'm off today, maybe this is my time...
