Most of those were Jodi Jones putting the ball in the stands.

Our long-range shooting is abysmal.

"First half, you could easily see why Coventry were such low scorers. Negative, 11 men behind the ball at times, slow in possession, ponderous and taking ridiculous shots on from 25-35 yards and were so, so impatient. Over the 90 minutes, I've never seen a side take more stupid shots. Anywhere and everywhere. If they weren't flying over the bar, they were rolling into Vickers hands - little in between.

Second half you wonder why they don't score more goals. Much more forward passing, a tweak in formation and their striker came on and changed the game because he was a threat in behind. McNulty and the other guy were very poor and offered little."

What's it say?
Says what it says. Can't you see the tweet? 'Jodie Jones you a f***ing c**t. I'll lay you out and make sure you will not play football again.'

Unless I am missing the point and that was a windup. ;)

Was an awesome result in the end and the 2nd time we've come from behind to win away from home now this season. We are absolutely deadly on the counter attack. Credit to Lincoln for still trying to get a 2nd goal at 1-0 after half time but it really played into our hands - would have been a very different 2nd half if they'd just shut up shop.
Thought the match told the story of our whole season - first half we struggled to get to grips with a big side playing a high intensity game in midfield and the usual hole between the strikers and midfield showed why we've only scored 5 first half goals in 18 matches. 2nd half we showed how good we are when teams try to take the game to us - we've battered anyone who has actually tried to beat us.
Thought Shipley did well - got box to box all game, not surprised he got cramp! Between Kelly and McDonald for MoM for me though. Also credit to Burge who I also thought had a good game today - wasn't especially tested save wise but came for plenty of crosses, showed good decision making for when to catch and punch and did both well when he got there when it would have been easy to be intimidated by the size of Lincoln. Thought Lincoln were really dirty too, lot of late tackles after the ball had gone and was that 3 yellows for them for elbows?

Was he the one behind the benches who Jones reminded the score? Ha

No stewards in sight, their fans at the hoardings giving it loads to our bench.

possibly! Wasn't at the game so not sure what went on there but it sounds like there were words between a few of our players and staff and some of their fans.

Winning a game doesn't change that a lot of our players aren't good enough. Our tactics are still poor, we have no plan B. I want us to do well but we should be doing better than we are. Our home crowd is embarrassing. Our owners are inept. We don't score enough goals in general and it's all a bit boring.
Feck off you annoying negative muppet

Just read a few things on the lincoln forum.

First time they've lost after being ahead in the league under the Cowley brothers.

Leeds are eyeing up Jones.

Claimed Davies(?) maybe Kelly's(?) volley at the end that went out the ground at the end was a deliberate time wasting ploy.

It probably was time wasting, was good though!

Also the official (linesman) did us a favour today for the winner I think it was, the ball hd obviously gone out for a goal kick as everyone stopped, especially Willis who had it at his feet, they were all jogging back, ref didn't blow so Willis panicked and cleared well setting up jones down the right with Lincoln flat footed!

He missed everything, especially Rhead assaulting Shipley I think it was.

In this division. Yes they are

Our tactics are still poor, we have no plan B.

You mean a Plan B like losing at half time and winning at the end

.Our home crowd is embarrassing. .

Given where we are, Its not

Our owners are inept. .

YES

We don't score enough goals in general and it's all a bit boring.

0-1 down at half time and 2-1 winners. boring ?

Just back and wanted to do something with my thoughts.

This was my first game in nearly 2 years. I still follow Cov but only from afar. I only went as we live close (ish) and a connection to Lincoln. I have to say I loved it. I Can't understand some of the comments made earlier as I thought it was great to see we had some actual quality, even when losing. I think that's why I gave up. It was the sheer miserableness of it all. There are some issues to tackle but that looked like a team that could play football and wanted to. That's all I wanted.

Listened to the Lincoln fans around me cheered me up too with several saying we were the best they'd played. I thought both sides had quality.

Am now looking forward to my next game!

That's bollocks. We should have scored in the first minute. We were away from home against an in form side, not the time to be completely gungho

Blatant ones as well.

Just watched the highlights, couldn't see half of the action from the other end of the ground. That one where it looked like they scored but was cleared isnt on there.

Was that the header at 0-0? I'm sure Burge 'starfishes' and it came off his left boot!
Was sure it was heading in!

They had nothing when they took Rhead off, so much so they had to bring another big bloke on to try and get back into it.

Tbh only one team wanted to play football and therefore deserved to win.
The other team just bullied and played hoofball hoping for some scraps.....

PUSB.
Another great win in and the SBA superb today:)

Hmmm, you never get me saying game over after 30 mins or that we are a poor side and are not going anywhere in this league.

There are some sensible ones on here, but others are all too quick to throw the towel in. Wasn't even half way through the game.

We won the cup in ‘87 ...and it’s been pretty much downhill since ...apart from the odd good PL season with a team we couldn’t afford....

....give the moaning, good for nothing, negative basturds a break m8
