some of our defending makes grim viewing! What the fuck was going on for the chance Eisa had after the free kick?!

Our fans prefer forwards who run around defending and never look like scoring rather than players who are out there getting in the right places to score and miss a few.

People that still don't see the value in McNulty baffle me. It's as if they decided to hate on him and now can't change their mind. I said not that long ago that he really isn't the player I thought he'd be but he's really turned me around recently. We're in league 2, he's a league two forward, he's not going to score every chance but he keeps going and the goals are coming for him now. 5 in 18 in the league now, a couple more and he's a 1 in 3 player, he actually scores for us every 214 minutes, if he kept that up over a season that's 20 goals. I genuinely believe that if he hadn't been injured he'd be on 10 already.

I do like him and he gets in great positions and works hard.

I am not at all expecting him to score shed loads, but I do expect him to at least make keepers work a bit more. Two blazed over the bar today.

If he is hitting the target, even if they are routine-ish saves, that has to be better than keep not hitting the target at all.

I do like him though. More pressure on him because Biamou isn't scoring at all.

I know a guy who everytime mcnulty scores he makes up a caveat

Vs shit team
Goal at a timr mstch was won
We still lost cos he missed other chances
Heard it went in from his shin
Was only a tap in

Etc!

its a brilliant flick from vincente and a good lay off by biamou for mcnultys blocked shot.

we will need everyone to play their part so getting on these 2's back will do no good.

Has anyone seen a replay of the Biamou penalty shout in 1st half? At the time I thought it was a stonewall.
Yes nick looking at the Baylis goal it does look like biamou gets a flick

I had a good view of it and I'm not convinced it was the stone waller everyone is making out, would like to see it again.

It's hard to freeze frame it from iFollow. It actually starts outside the box where the defender has his right arm. If it was in the centre circle he would have given it.

We are at the other end (block 23)...so not a clear view but it looked to me like he had an arm around biamou. Doesn’t look like that on the two frames...if anything arm blocking. At time my lad didn’t think it was a penalty.
Won’t tell him his young eyes much better than my old ones.

I'm in line with the goal line and I thought it was a pen. I could see the defenders arm over Biamou's shoulder but it was on the blind side of the ref, good defending if you get away with it. If the ref was sitting in my seat i think he would have given it.

If he had been sitting in your seat surely we'd have a different ref.

If he was sat in my seat he would have had no option as both me and my mate were screaming stonewall !!

I guess it depends on where on your seat he was placed. If he was on your lap it might be OK, but with you on his lap he could have been unsighted.

This is what really winds me up with refereeing now, not just at our level but across the board, so much inconsistency.

A foul is a foul whether its in the box or not, but you're right, guaranteed free kick if thats in the centre circle.

The other one is defenders v attackers at challenging headers. How defenders (and GKs for that matter) get so many free kicks is ridiculous, especially from corners etc!

There was one on Saturday when Biamou was infront of the defender from a goal kick, couldnt get off the ground because he had a defender on his shoulders, defender missed header, falls over, wins free kick!!!!

What is Willis doing again for that goal... Schoolboy communication between Stokes and McDonald to start with and they shoulder primary responsibility for conceding but watch Willis and Eisa. Willis uses his pace to get back superbly and then does what he's done so often this season, gets drawn towards the ball instead of marking his man. Eisa is the only man in the box, mark him tight there and he stops the goal irrespective of the terrible initial defending by Stokes and McDonald. Always seems to be an issue when he's running back towards his own goal.
