it's incredible isn't it?
If anyone thinks that yesterdays result has made people forget about mismanagement or the fact we don't know where we're playing next season, (like you I'm convinced we'll be at the Ricoh), then they are an absolute fucking idiot.

It's just about enjoying a great performance by the team we support, you'd think it was a crime!
I'm unsure why people don't see that, I have no idea on what political views the people by me had. I know that every single person lost their mind when grimmer scored though. That's what it is about.

If we were man city fans who signed up when they got a rich owner, we would never have that feeling I don't think.

Spot on, days like the Check a Trade Final and yesterday are brief moments where as fans we just get to enjoy supporting the TEAM.

Can’t understand why anyone would begrudge that.

No, my mentality is that if people are more than happy to not go because of a couple of quid then they can't have been that bothered about going in the first place.

spot on Nick. I really think now is the time to increase the attendance price as we need all the money we can get, and they majority left will pay for it. I'd happily pay more if I knew it was going directly to MR, maybe by way of a "transfer fund" or something like that

So we need to increase the match day prices to more than £25 for L2 Football?

I think you need your own elite club.

The way you look down on other supporters is not very nice at all.

Great idea, exploit the small minority of fans left and rinse them dry.

That is exactly the mentality which has seen our fan base disintegrate.

Absolutely it's not a crime, it's brilliant that everyone there had a good day out.

All my point has been all along was that there could have been so many more people there to enjoy it had the club been a bit more thoughtful.

It's hardly looking down on anybody.

In fact, I am not the one giving it the massive amounts of self expectancy of demanding prices be dropped by a couple of quid before I go. It's like when somebody is planning a night out and the replies of "who else is going" arrive, you know then they clearly aren't going to bother so why prance around the bullshit about it.

Sorry I just don't see it, the club or any for that at this level is not gonna gamble to operate at a loss of income they'd predict it to be, and be more thoughtful when likely they had just broke even or better in the last 2 cup games which were given at a reduction and terrible gates.

Sounds familiar, I swear I heard Fisher talking about "sweating assets" in one of the fans forums he put on before the season in Northampton though at the time he was talking about pies & stuff.

If yesterday's match had been against one of the big PL teams then we would have had a sell out with not a whisper about ticket prices. Only moans from some that they couldn't get a ticket and they've supported City for a 100 years and it ain't fair, etc.

There are a band of fans that moan whatever the club does on or off the pitch even if it is out of the club's hands.

I think you’ll find that our fans have had a little more than most to moan about over the last decade. It’s amazing how one result appears to change everything. I’m not being negative, I enjoyed the game as much as anyone, but let’s remind ourselves what the attitude was like on here after the morcombe game, when the players failed to show up.

Why remind ourselves about Morecambe? It was a terrible performance and we were all miserable for days after it. Why bring it up now? Let's revel in the joy of yesterdays win. It might be back to earth with a bump come Saturday 5pm so lets just enjoy beating Stoke you fucking killjoy!

One word, NORTHAMPTON !!!

MR FISHER PREDICTION WAS SPOT ON , DON'T YOU THINK .

How that man is still at CCFC i'll never know !!!

Exactly, they took a foolish gamble and thought thousands would still follow. Massively got it wrong and counted the cost on that one.

That's there own own-goal tho.

Of course you're not demanding prices are dropped. You have paid the premium, so you expect everyone else to do the same.

I don't know about your text message analogy, but I've been consistent all along. Borehamwood and Maidenhead were £13 - I went to both.

P.S. Get some better mates.

Because if I was that bothered about something I wouldn't turn my nose up at the sake of a fiver if I wanted to do it. I can understand if we suddenly did an Exeter and whacked the price up or wanted what Man Utd did but we didn't. It was the same as league games.

To be fair, it was standard back in the day that a couple would always give it "whos going", "whos driving" and one of them is the same about going to football when it's £22, won't spend that but would spend £18 and spend £20 on beer in the concourse.

As I've said, there are some people that make excuses and will moan about the price I know, but it is not all a fantasy. The costs do put people off and that reason is genuine.

As you said on another thread you would have paid £60 to watch that game. What if the cost had been £60? Would those people that wouldn't have gone because of that been making excuses too? It's not just a myth.

I know you are a super fan, and I know you love it, but you have to realise not everyone is like you. Robins was pleading with the fans to come back through the turnstiles several times on BBC yesterday, that's for a reason. Given our league position, the attendances are woeful. Why? A large part of that is that the walk up cost is simply too much.

I said after the game I would have paid £60 because that's how much I enjoyed it.

The fact is the price wasn't £60, it was the same as league games and it was pretty much the "going rate". It isn't as if CCFC charge loads more than everybody else, for example if CCFC did charge £60 and everybody else was £20 then you would have a point. It was £46 for 2 adult tickets on Saturday after the card charge, so £23 each to watch us play Stoke. I'd much rather go without paying silly money for a beer and watch the football than insist it is £20 so I can have a beer too and refuse to go because of it.

You seem to say every other week how you won't go because it's too expensive for a walkup price. Buy them in advance or get a match package and save money that way rather than not going for the sake of a couple of quid. You could probably even pay monthly for a half season ticket knowing you will miss some games but then save more on the ones you will go to.

It's all well and good focusing on the most expensive walk up price, you are posting on here all week about the ticket price so buy it in advance before the game. There are always ways to do it to save a bit.

It's the same as if you go somewhere like Blackpool Pleasure Beach and most things like that, you plan it and order in advance and you get a better price. You buy in bulk and you get an even better price.

So prices are dropped and then we have to sell to survive. Cue more moaning and a drop in attendances. Vicious circle.

I do get annoyed with the Superfan tag which is thrown at anyone who supports their club regardless.

I've told you a million times that I have my own team and therefore I can only generally go when we don't have a game. That's either the odd Tuesday or if a game gets called off at the last minute. It means I have no choice but to pay the cost as a walk up fan. The going rate, as I have also said many times, may be 'competitive' but it is not affordable. I wouldn't be going on about this so much if you would just listen and acknowledge that quite a few fans (myself included) are not prepared to pay £23 to watch the team play.

The Stoke game was different to a normal fixture, as I would have been prepared to sack my own match off to go (in advance). For £23 it's not going to happen though. Funnily enough, 2 of my players actually said exactly the same thing. I guess they are just full of shit too?

The match package thing is also another flawed argument. If someone is struggling to put the cash up front for a ticket on the gate, how are they supposed to have the capital to fund a match package? I think they are good schemes, but it doesn't solve the problem for everyone like you think it does.

Just look at how many walk ups we get per week. It's alarmingly low considering we are in the automatic spots and have been in the playoffs consistently. I know when we were in this position with Mowbray (around the same time of year) it was in a division higher, but we got some really decent attendances and they were growing each week. A ticket was £18 in advance.

It makes a difference to people like me.

It's only getting thrown around because there are some people that are prepared to pay whatever it costs to go, and they won't accept that not everyone is the same. I have tried respectfully to make my point that the ticket prices are too high. Instead of that being accepted, it's being kicked into the ground because a few people are prepared to pay whatever it costs to watch the team, and therefore it doesn't matter what I say, I'm expected to go and not say a word.

It shouldn't be like that.

I think it's great we have some fans that are so committed, but there shouldn't be so much hostility towards people that cannot be in that category.

So you would sack your match off for £20 but not £23? This is the point I am making where you make out so many are sat at home with a £20 note on the table saying they can't go because it is £23. I know people exactly the same and it's guaranteed that when the tickets are for example £20 they will spend more than that on beer and probably chuck more than that in a fruit machine as well for the game.

This is where I say I can understand if they were £60 and everybody else was £20 that it would be silly. It isn't though, you are saying you would not bother with your own game if it was a couple of quid less but wouldn't over a couple of quid more which is the point I'm making about the differences.

You don't have to pay the gate price, I went and bought tickets on the day on Saturday and didn't pay gate / walk up price.

I understand people have priorities, would I expect somebody to buy a match ticket over paying rent, feeding themselves and kids etc etc of course not. I can fully understand people would need to use £3 for electric and things like that.

It also comes down to then if people really are that arsed as to where it comes in their list of priorities, not saying you at all but just in general and examples I know where people will happily chuck loads at beer, chuck some in the casino before or after, chuck some in the bandit and judging by some games chuck some up their nose but then moan about a couple of quid on the match ticket.

I have pointed out multiple times about the vouchers in the JSB pack, sign a kid up and get family tickets of 2 adults 2 kids for £22 so £11 per adult and the kids are free (plus the JSB is free as well). I have never understood why people would pay full whack for a kid when they can sign them up as a JSB.

If 2 people have a kid each, sign them both up for £25 and said kid then get's free tickets to games, they get a free gift, invites to party and christmas cards etc so it's well worth it before any vouchers.

They then get 2 vouchers each for family tickets for £22, that's potentially 4 games at £11 each at whichever home games they want.
