NEWS: Inaugural Supporters Forum meeting takes place this month

The first meeting of the new Coventry City Supporters Forum will take place later this month at the Ricoh Arena.

Various supporter groups and organisations have agreed to be part of the new forum and send a representative to the meeting. These are:
  • CCFC LGBT Supporters Club
  • Coventry City Former Players Association
  • Coventry City London Supporters Club
  • Coventry City Supporters Club Irish Branch
  • Diamond Club
  • Family Zone volunteers
  • Leamington and Warwick Supporters Club
  • Sky Blue Trust
  • Sky Blues in the Community
At the first meeting, the aims of the Supporters Forum will be agreed.

Also at the meeting, the process for the election of fan representatives will be discussed.

A fan representative is required for each of the following:
  • Season Ticket holders (Standard Zone/Premium Zone)
  • Corporate Season Ticket holders
  • Disabled Supporters
Any supporter from these categories will be able to put themselves forward as a representative, serving a one-year term. Details on how fans can put themselves forward and the subsequent voting process will be confirmed following discussions at the first meeting.

I get the feeling this is another idea of Mr Boddy, who has done really well since he has been brought in to oversee things!

Ultimately the idea of this forum to understand supporter concerns and take onboard ideas, if the Club can do this then the forum serves it's purpose and would be a good thing IMO.

The club needs to gague opinions from it's fans, an example of this would be ST prices, I think we would benefit lower overall ST prices..

Did think of you when I saw Disabled as you had mentioned it before. Think they will probably put out how to apply after the first meeting.

It's undoubtedly a very good thing that we've moved on from worrying about what people do to each other with their own bits, but I honestly can't keep track of the acronyms. :)

There was a valid debate going on and instead you've deleted the posts and pointed to a thread that hasn't been posted on since October 2016. Not exactly likely to encourage debate on a very important topic. Not sure this is the sort of thing that should be censored tbh unless people are being abusive (nobody was). Multiple threads run on other topics but on this, the posts have been removed but on one of the most important things that could be discussed on this forum.

Pretty disappointing I have to say.

I haven't deleted anything. I have just linked to the thread with the same discussion on for people to have if they want it to so it's not really censored.

Good news. Sounds like non of the ego’s from before are going to be involved which has to be good news. Hopefully now it can get back to what it’s supposed to be and not a propaganda tool like it had become.

They weren't removed by me, I am just trying to give the link to the existing discussion about the very same thing. It is the same topic and very relevant so most of the points are in that thread. People are more than welcome to discuss it.

What do you think I'm on about?

There was a debate about the importance of an LGBT supporters group and the posts have since been removed. Discussing issues like inclusivity in football are more important than having 6 threads about when Biamou will score. I was expressing my frustration at an important topic being censored.

It's not being censored is it? Hence there's a discussion about the same thing open for replies with the same points resided and discussed.

It is an important topic, that's why it is probably best it has it's own thread (that I linked to)

I accept it wasn't you who deleted the posts but they have been deleted rather than moved by somebody else. That is the definition of censorship!
