Will our fans behave at County? (1 Viewer)

I'm talking about the minority of course. High octane occasion, loads at stake. Biggest game for God knows how long.
I've been away from home a few times this season. I know what I think.

Will have to see if they ramp up the stewarding, people will be on the pitch either way though.

There will be issues 100%. Challenge will be the numbers that will travel regardless of having a ticket and the potential for disorder if we get knocked out.

Blue smoke bombs everywhere :)

Why can't we have snipers around the top of the ground? First person on the pitch gets a rubber bullet to the bollocks. People won't be so keen then.

I think it's the new "done" thing, it's taken over from strange protests. Granted it is celebrating winning but it's still stupid.

I'm going to punch someone for a seat set of a smoke bomb and get on the pitch all before the game kicks off.

You need to get yourself a dodgy sun burn and have your top off for that. ;)

I know it's harsh, but still think there should be a no mans land between the stand and the pitch. You go on there and you are doing it at your own risk and waive any rights to damages etc when you get shot.

The thing that puzzles me most about the whole situation is, it's all pre-meditated, which means you can't even use the excuse of 'Got lost in the heat of the moment'. If it was an FA Cup final and emotions were running that high, fair enough. But I've seen it at MK Dons, Notts County & Cheltenham, and to be honest it's absolutely embarrassing. People are getting on the pitch over us scoring against (no offence meant apart from to MK) much smaller teams. Imagine what it would be like if we played United or Liverpool. It makes us look like a non-league team.

It's because they get away with it, the same as they got away with things like tennis balls etc.

No idea why people feel the need to do it, it looks like its for kudos and social media backpats to look cool. Some of them on Saturday could barely make it over the ad boards.1 goes on, then his mates follow, then more go on etc.

It would be interesting to see if they tried it at Wembley where there will be high alert and security.

I see it slightly differently to the tennis balls. The tennis balls was a protest. Whether you agree with the protest reason, or agree with its effectiveness is an entirely different matter, but there was a reason behind trying to disrupt the game. Getting on the pitch when we've gone 0-1 up against a team that didn't exist 12 years ago is a whole new matter. I wholeheartedly agree though, ban every single one of them that gets on the pitch mid-game for a lengthy spell and it won't happen.

It'll be fine. It'll be a different following there than the league game, less about a day on the lash, more about the game. Stewards/police will be all over it. It's part of why they close the bottom 3 rows for play off games. Not worth worrying about.

You might equally ask if Notts fans will behave at the Ricoh. They caused a bit of grief on the opening day.

I don't think it is too different to be fair, I watched the tennis ball one and it was mostly the same sort of people and they were loving it. It's all about people following other people, now there isn't backpats for things like tennis balls it's all about being the one on the pitch and being the hero with the smoke bomb.

That's it, once on the pitch they're normally just ushered back into the stands. Man handle them 6 to 1 straight to the back of a meat wagon, a night at her majesties pleasure, £1k fine and a 4 year ban should put the rest off! After the last guy that threw blue smoke at Notts County got 28 days custodial, will it deter others? Or are they all too stupid to care?

Not aware of any grief they caused?

2 per STH I don’t think it’ll be too bad as most STH seem to be decent folk now a days either older or kids.

Likes of MK was 6 per STH and made general sale so all sorts went.

I wouldn’t be so sure...Forest Green? Cheltenham was lively and I can name more

At 2 per season ticket holder, the demographic of the support will be much different to last time.

I didn’t even go on the pitch after our last game at HR. Bit of misty eyed clapping was all that was needed.

What happened to some good old British restraint?

I only went on the HR pitch when a steward said "Do you want to go on the pitch - no problem". Mind you.I only have Irish restraint!

Cant understand why clubs dont just dig an 8' trench between the stands and the touchline leaving enough space for throw ins and corners.
Anyone trying to get on the pitch and falling in should be left there until the ground is empty

So because there was a protest to show that people were not happy with the ownership people were after a pat on the back? Not me sir I can assure you.

dont need space for our throw ins and corners becaus they are so shite we should just give the ball to the opposition

#wedowhatwewant mentality suggests that yes. People will be on the pitch and there will be trouble.

Forest Green I knew would be raised.

But wasn’t Cheltenham a fair few per ST?

I think Notts will be a lot of the ‘hardcore supporters’ that don’t necessarily go away.

Be interesting to see the take up, I do believe it will reach the second priority group.

I have only ran on the pitch once when I was about 15/16. 5 minutes in on the penalty spot as Coventry were attacking. I wasn't alone, because West Ham were really kicking off in the West End. Only about 14,000 there but it gave them room to do running charges across the West End. Ended up watching from Sky Blue Terrace.

The mindless running on to the pitch on Saturday and after goals at other games this season have nothing in common with protests that have gone on over the past few years. The purpose of these was to raise the proflle of the plight of the club in the local and national media. Not the same thing at all. I have taken part in most of the protests with the exception of going onto the pitch in the Sheffield Utd game. My only purpose in taking part in these was to try and help get our club back from the other set of morons who own it. As usual a couple of people on here, the usual suspects, try and tar protesters and mindless pitch invaders with the same brush. Any one with any knowledge of our recent history will know the difference.
