Pompey fans saying on twitter that from his reaction at the end of the game it was his last appearance for them today.

Any links to what people have said?
Judging by his reaction at the end, you may well be getting your man this week! He clapped us for what seemed to be an age and then had to be consoled by another player. May be wrong but definitely felt like goodbye to me....

I really do think it will be ok
Season ticket deadlines have passed at other clubs at our level so transfers of star players often happen between that deadline and the end of the window
Don't be surprised if we get another high profile loan from one of the top clubs
I think conversations have been going on but these players are in demand so a lot of i's have to be dotted and t's crossed

Ike Ugbo? Been at MK Dons and Barnsley with little success - 3 goals in 30 games. Hasn’t sorted a loan move out yet still in Chelsea’s 23s

Nice hit and you can’t question his goal scoring record but the majority of Scottish championship sides are no better than our conference surely? Ayr United only went professional last season

Have any SPL sides expressed an interest in him?

Not quite, most about L1/L2 level though the level below that is more L2/Conf. He went on trial with Swansea's development side last summer and didn't get a contract. Take a look at his goals last season anyway, all kinds of goals scored and of similar style to the chap we're trying to replace.

Apologies if this has been discussed but where would signing Chaplin leave Andreu? We would surely need to play another striker alongside Chaplin which would leave Tony benched or out wide. Should we not be targeting a player who can lead the line on his own with Tony in behind?

I'd quite like to see a 3-5-2 with Bayliss Ogogo and Andreu centrally, Brown and Sterling overlapping either side; Biamou and (hopefully) Chaplin up top. Jones, Allessani, Shipley, JCH, Doyle all other options on the bench. With the signings made this summer it really has opened us up to play different formations to suit different players. Should set us up better to counter other teams, or to change things if they become ineffective, rather than setting up the same way every time.

I can't figure out what we're likely to play next season, formation or personnel. If we stick with Andreu behind a-n-other then we seem to either have to play JCH or Max or risk not having any physicality up that end of the field. We do seem to have lots of options which is good, we certainly have pace to use on the wings.

That may well be the case but if you want your team to be successful you don't sell your best players and then replace them with players that might one day come good.

Yes I know, be for anyone says it, the club has to " live within it's means "

Unless a Multi -Millionaire comes in and invest in the TEAM, it's the lower League's for CCFC.

"Just stating the obvious "
Well not particularly, the idea is build a squad - sign 4, sell 1 every year then reinvest in another 4 (I know that’s the debated point)

That was the ranson plan and was a good one.. on paper
