I don’t do links, not interested, all I want is my club to grow back to something it was, I think it can but I believe the average fan perhaps not as smart as some look at failure, at the moment, to replace McNulty with frustration and will point fingers at its sisu again.

Your link is probably accurate, but I believe the average fan don’t look at links and reasons put together by smart arses, they see a star player sold, promises to replace him, linked with let’s be honest a Portsmouth reserve but at the moment zilch and the big kick-off three days away.
I sit with four fans at work lapsed yes but have been upbeat from last season they all bad mouth sisu for what they see trousering the money yet again, probably not true but that’s their fixed opinions the result thing is unfortunately they remain lapsed fans.

I would expect any reasonable person to be capable of engaging in conversation and be able to process factual information, especially when its a topic of interest to them.
For example the resident Wasps fan where I work couldn't wait to come in and tell me how all the transfer money we'd received had gone to SISU. Took about 60 seconds to tell him it wasn't the clubs accounts and there's nothing to indicate any money from the club has gone to SISU and he accepted it.
Out of interest these people you work with who have never heard of online or website who also won't listen to anyone who tries to give them information, where are they getting their incorrect information from?

This has got a bit silly , Robins holding out and not just getting anybody is a good thing and something the fans should admire , he is not my favourite manager but doing this and getting the RIGHT fit is something I do admire . We could waste money on any old striker to keep the fans happy. But, we have to be patient and wait for the right man to come in.
Making rash decisions is how you end up spending £1m on McKenzie, £1.25m for Eastwood or £600k on Kevin Kyle.
Even if we didn’t get a striker when the deadline passes, this team is good enough to avoid relegation. So, we’ll have to wait and see what we can purchase in January. Chaplin may be available at a cut price.

Thought the same under Mowbray and a few months later he packed his bags. We have definitely recruited better this time around, and there is still time, but we shouldn't have dragged out this attempt for so long.

The difference is Mowbray did it with the whole squad, not just one player. It's not the same thing. We have a balanced squad at the moment and bringing in the wrong person can upset the balance.
