So what's the consensus then from those who choose to sit there, but who are not season ticket holders. Are you gonna be sitting elsewhere, or queueing up at the ticket office on Saturday to get tickets in there?

Also is block 17 full, or also been blocked?

I imagine there will be some spillover into B14/15. Basically the whole affair will leave all of those blocks looking relatively sparse which defeats the point of trying to generate an atmosphere in closing behind the goal etc.

If we get on a roll like we did when Mowbray was here it will be interesting to see what they do if there is 15-17k in the ground...

I’ve just rang up and upgraded my 12 match package to premium for an extra 24 quid. I cant be arsed with queueing up every time for tickets in the corner so will sit in block 18 now instead.

Has anyone got a link or could someone explain the final word on singers corner? Is it only tickets on the day? If it is I've got little interest in sitting elsewhere.

Season tickets and tickets brought by season ticket holders only as far as I know

My guess is that a lot of those in block 17 will have moved over by the second half.

Block 17 is almost completely sold out with season ticket holders. There are only about 200 seats available game by game so this block will be full every week. Can't see why they would move.

I'm going to pay on the day tomorrow and see what happens. I normally sit block 15 or 16, never had a problem with someone sat in my seat.

I hate sitting at games, I know people have problems with that but in those blocks you knew it wouldn't be a problem. The games that I couldnt sit in those blocks (few and far between), I sat down.

I'm not saying there isn't issues in those blocks but this isn't the solution. I've sat in most parts of the ground and I fking hate it. Boring as sin.

Singers corner creates the atmosphere. Stop that and you might as well be at church. Safe standing in 14-16 with proper stewarding would be a good answer.

Stewards chasing young lads around the corner trying to sit with their mates.

They need to start selling advance tickets in block 15 and that will solve the problems.

Did the lads trying to sit there have tickets to sit there?

The answer will be no of course.

But it should be easier to buy tickets in that block than they have made it.
But anyone whinging that the stewards are doing their job by trying to make sure people sit it the seat they have bought a ticket for is a div.

I've also heard the phrase "you don't see this at any other ground in the country".
Well yes you do.

While I'm at it, maybe they went overboard with the amount of stewards and checking but we've brought it on ourselves (football fans in general), plus there's nothing more annoying than someone in your seat.

Don't get your point then? It's people like that that gave them the reason to do it in the first place

Because a day tripper going to the Ricoh with their mates is unable to buy a ticket themselves.

I (sort of) understand why they wanted to do something about the occasional overcrowding, but they should still allow advance ticket purchases in the corner.

Yes, they allow season ticket holders, but it has to be in person and it's too difficult.

The atmosphere was OK yesterday, but for the smaller crowds in a month or so, the atmosphere will be awful.

You mean people couldn't be bothered and just wanted to walk across to seats that weren't theirs.

Same thing that caused the issue in the first place. Same thing that has meant stricter stewarding.

Yeah, they pay on the gate and get tickets in a where everyone sits down.

If you're a fan who goes to a handful of games a season, you're no longer able to buy a ticket in an area of the ground where you can stand and create an atmosphere.

There were a few occasions where people wanted to stand in block 17 yesterday but were unable.

Yes, it's because of people buying tickets in other areas moving to places they don't have tickets.

Not sure why it's so confusing for them.

Get their mates to get them tickets.

I've moved to block 16, good atmosphere, albeit some knuckle dragger behind me was unable to complete a sentence without the use of the f-word. We've got kids with us, so we don't want standing as the kids can't see.

It was obvious that a few had tickets for other block but were just travelling across the rows to get to 15/16.

Yeah, I understand the reasoning behind it, but they should have still made it an option to buy tickets in advance.

The problem arose from the top of block 15 being all but sold out meaning people bought tickets elsewhere and moved up.

They've made it worse by stopping ticket sales. People are more likely to buy elsewhere and move up to the corner now.
