No. I am saying that 90% of business is in Europe, but that there are other aims than purely inside the EU. Supporting the Balkans
So you are agreeing that Tony is wrong then. Was wondering why you wasn't trying to back him up. Although you had already said the opposite to what he wants us to believe.

You do talk some crap. Simplistic crap.
What is that then Mart?

Is the EIB a part of the EU....As in the bank of the EU?

Why not comment instead of insult?

Because you don't want to prove Tony wrong again but want to back him up. You are so predictable.

There is a thread about SISU and Sky Blue Leisure and CCFC. It explains the difference between the owner and the entity. SISU has nothing to do with CCFC signing a player. It is a separate entity. Belongs ultimately to SISU though. You wouldn’t congratulate SISU on signing Michael Doyle as they didn’t. The same as the EU didn‘t give a loan to a Turkish project involving Ford. The EIB did.

See my last post. I put it in CCFC/ SISU terms as you have been through that. That being a thread which we agreed with each other most of the time.

Forth attempt. Wow. How many times can you change a question before it no longer becomes the question originally asked. I’ll let you have the first two as it’s unfair to expect you to have read the dictionary and recalled every definition of every word (although I would have thought that any simpleton would understand that the word branch when used in the right context also means the same as a local office). But now you’re getting ridiculous. You’re now wording this question so it bares no resemblance to what you asked me and not only that you’re trying to put words in my mouth in the process. You’re question as originally asked wasn’t even relevant to the conversation, in its latest guise it isn’t even relevant to the how you asked it originally. You have serious issues. You should probably seek professional help for this trait of yours.
More like how many times can a question be dodged by somebody who either hasn't got a clue on what they are talking about or refuses to admit they are wrong.

The EIB is the bank of the EU. It is the vehicle that the EU uses to give out loans. Agreed?

Just in case you deny this here is the link again

EIB - At a glance

So how isn't loans given out by the EIB not given out by the EU like you are still saying?

But now we are on a different subject. You have lived in Germany most of your life. You want Germany to do well. I want the UK to do well. You look at what is best for Germany. I look at what is best for the UK.

I’ve already given you five examples of where I have answered this question. You’ve asked seven times now. How many more times do I need to answer it before you stop making out I haven’t?

Although I will give you more credit than Grendull. At least you’re not rewording the question based on the answer. You’re at least consistent with the question. Fair play for that.

Yes up the EU. Nice one Mart. I suppose you are proud.

No. Or rather yes, I have been driving Land Rover for 25 years.. basically since I formed my ltd. company. The point being that I am British and sell Irish and British products on events all over Germany. My delivery van is Mercedes‘ Sprinter, but I wanted a car to fit my „image“ and it had to be British. Now JLR are moving production out of the UK. You would be better off having a dig at JLR. I am not happy about it.

You can answer as many times as you like. It is an honest answer I am after.

Well, that is not true. I want what is best for the UK, Germany and the rest of the EU. I also want our neighbours in the Balkans to do well. I want the Turks to do well, but I want Erdogan to go before we invest more in Turkey.

So why do you think that the Euro is a good thing when experts say it isn't good for the vast majority?

Tony is there a European Commission for wales?

There’s a Wales branch/office call it what you like, it’s all the same thing. That’s what you asked me as anyone who can be bothered to look can see. I gave you the link to the page on the EU’s website for the office in Cardiff. You now change the goalposts. Seriously. Get some help. You need it.

Some say that. Others see it as a necessity to facilitate trade between EU countries. My daughter was 2 when it came in. If you told her we have a new idea, we will replace the Euro with 21 different completing currencies with fluctuating exchange rates and high bank charges for transferring between different countries, she would look at you gone out. What a stupid idea. The same as if the north of England had a „B“ GBP to make them more competitive against a strong „A“ GBP in London. A retrograde step. Better to improve the Euro through a transfer system and closer fiscal unity with a Euro finance ministry.

Are you suggesting that I’ve fabricated a fake web page for the offices of the Wales office of the European Commission?

No Tony you said there was a wales office if the European Commission that made autonomous decisions

Did I? When? Presumably you have a link?

Here’s what we do know for sure. You asked me for the address of the Wales branch of the European Commission. I obliged. You tried to rewrite the definition of the meaning of the word branch. You need professional help.

TBF, you called it 'The European Commission for Wales' at the time, as if it was a separate institution set up specifically for Wales. It don't matter though anyway.

But meanwhile...the UK can demand thst certain trials are carried out under UK stipulations...otherwise they don't get licenced for use here. Now thst I would agree could be a double-edged sword! By that I mean EMA sympathies toward certain EU companies will become a thing of the past. However we (as patients) will still suffer from either missing out on good drugs for longer than necessary or, we suffer from sympathies shown to UK based Pharma firms.

Childish, facile nonsense.

What benefit would that have to UK pharma companies who want continued access a massive market in Europe? What benefit would it have to the NHS and very sick people reliant on drugs imported from the EU?

It was a good while ago, probably during one of the court cases. Like I said, it doesn't matter now anyway as you seem to have grasped the reality.

Here’s the thing. If you try and search for me, Eu, commission Wales, or any combination of those words you’ll find plenty of posts of you and Grendull claiming I’ve said something along the lines of what you’re now both claiming I said as if it somehow proves me wrong on completely unrelated topics but everytime either of you pull that trick I’ve searched for me making a comment remotely near to what you have both repeatedly claimed I did and I’m yet to find me making that comment. So help yourself out, if you’re going to keep making that claim at least have the dignity to prove it. I’ll happily admit I got it wrong if you do.

Well. For starters it was Ford that borrowed the money not Turkey. How does Turkey have the rights to negotiate cancelling and nullifying Fords debts exactly? Turkey isn’t a member of the EU so therefore are not a shareholder in the EIB . Again, how does Turkey have the right to cancel or nullify debt owed to the EIB from an American corporation such as Ford? Or if you’re Grendull “a wonga type customer” who would have guessed has Grendull worked for a wonga type.

You have seen how volatile the Turkish currency is? You do know that Ford in Turkey is 1/2 owned by a Turkish company?
Sure you can work the rest out

...because of the current Turkish governments behaviour in general.

Kinda answering your own questions with that line as to why the money shouldn't have been loaned...& THAT ought to be one of - if not the foremost criteria that should be met before any consideration a country to join the EU.

Just for Astute....

The new wannabe Spitzenkandidat of the European People’s Party ( largest group in the EU ) is said to be Manfred Weber, CSU deputy leader. He is announcing his candidature this morning. His aim, to succeed Juncker. A German. And, not to be outdone, a German wants to take over at ECB. Even Merkel is not happy about 2 Germans going for top jobs. She wants the candidate for the ECB job to continue a low inflation and low interest policy. She fears that if Weber gets Juncker’s job, there’s no way a German will get the ECB job.

The money was loaned in 2012. Turkey was doing well and Erdogan wasn’t a virtual dictator. The project is a joint venture with Ford, a world name as a company. What do you know about the terms for lending money to projects in neighbouring countries to the EU?

It is another example of possible responses to hardball tactics from the other side of the negotiating table.

The key thing is that as the 4th largest market in Europe for the Pharma industry...you really think the ANY of the pharma companies will want anything other than a smooth transition?

There are already shortages of some products from time to time for many various reasons in various countries. Mechanisms are already in place to cover them off so the people whose lives (acute life threatening illness as in) depend upon them WILL get them. So the media reports were another fine example of pure sensationalism to sell themselves.
