Ground Owner is a city fan, was at all of our friendlies as well....
Players not paid, no hot water, generators sabotaged etc.

I think they were being kept afloat by the ground owner port Vale geezer but got grassed up to the FA and he's had to pull investment.

It’s very sad and has been coming for some time. One of my old clubs. One or two individuals have a lot to answer for. The club was thriving but too many shit decisions by people that knew best has led to this.

I assumed the previous owner (might still own the club) sold the ground separately?
It says he resigned as director of the club, so who's running it now?

Whats this Port Vale chap like, reasonable? Do the fans just need to keep the day to day going to at least buy them time or will he be demanding silly money for rent?

I don't even know if the fans own the club and control it now. I did notice their official Twitter was rting stuff from fans that they probably wouldn't about themselves if it was them.

He split Port Vale's ground from club. Some of their fans are no fans. I make no judgement myself.
Considering the crowds Borough get, they should do alright at non league level, but going bust seems to be a remarkably regular thing for them!

That club has been in crisis for longer than us and that's saying something. They should have installed me as manager, I've got them to the Championship in several editions of FM

They only signed Baker a few weeks ago. Don't imagine he's a low earner at that level and they must have been well in the shit by then.
Looks like they average 3 home games a month with crowds around 500. If they were all full price non-season ticket holders that would only be around £18K. Well short of the wage bill before you even consider running costs. Can't imagine sponsorship brings in a huge amount at that level.
Wonder if all clubs are spending that much.

It seems odd that someone like that has bought it. But is there even the slightest chance it would be viable.
Realistically you'd need 15K, trying to think back to our games there in the past. Would there even be enough room to bring it up to the required standard.
That's before you even consider planning and who would pay for it.

There's no room at all. Especially when the rugby club have the rights on one side so they block the doors.
Then there's access, it would bring the industrial estate to a stand still over 1k.
I don't know what the minimum would be to get it to league standards though considering some of the others.
The rugby club land would need to be bought before any expansion could even be thought of you would think.

The ground itself can’t really be extended beyond it’s current footprint. The other major issue is the RC’s clubhouse that is opposite the dug outs.

I mean how much would the land of the rugby club and the borough cost? Seems quite a fair bit of land to build a stadium and the training facility

Wasn't there talk that they would have to reject promotion a couple season ago? when they were doing quite well under Kevin Wilkins, as they couldn't afford/weren't going to be able to upgrade the stadium.

With river and stream it looks that the land is awkward to build much of a stadium there....certainly not one with a capacity of 15k+.

Why would a non league club want a 15K capacity, its currently ~4.6k and the crowds this season are around 650, I swear they regularly used to be double that a few years back but even then the ground was quite big enough.
Currently the ground fulfils requirements to start a first season in the EFL In the unlikely event of promotion but they'd need quadruple their existing seating capacity from 500 to 2000 and bump up the total capacity to 5000 to remain in the league.
