is awful again, the ball bobbling all over the place. Why do other teams who share not have the same problem.

Are there plans to enhance this pitch because it is a problem, I guess it depends on whether we stay or not doesn’t it?

The pitch is awful but it's always been awful post Xmas, even before Wasps starting using it. That's just exacerbated the problem and like has been said pitch quality is far less important to them than us. If them playing on it is digging clumps out of it it's going to be hard to get it to regrow in these temperatures, even though it's been mild thus far.
The fact the pitch is slightly sunken might be a reason, creating a cold microclimate at pitch level. Under soil heating might protect the roots but it won't make the grass grow above soil so it probably needs the heat lamps on it. I also don't think the almost constant watering of it helps particularly - it makes the roots shallow and less hardy. Maybe it needs some tough love. I think the irrigation system should be under the soil too, making the roots dig in deeper for water making it stronger.

The pitch is shocking. This must be the fifth season in a row we've had these problems. You can excuse the first season back as the pitch was prepared at short notice and had been used for other events which left it in a state before anyone knew we were coming back.
But when we've been repeatedly told its a state of the art pitch that we should be thanking Wasps for its a joke. As has been said other clubs who share don't have this issue.
Robins clearly isn't happy with it as he spoke about it on the after match interview. Said players are wary of shooting first time because the ball is bobbling all over the place. When the manager is saying things like that there's a problem. Not to mention the number of players every week who fall as they loose their footing, that has to be increasing the risk of injury.

At half time they showed a game vs Forest at Highfield Rd, the pitch looked worse than the one we have now, and we scored a couple of great goals.

It was covered in sand.
Some of the divots were, to say it was ‘covered’ is a bit of an exaggeration...
In fact just seen the hiwula replay and there were quite a lot of divots weren’t there..... so I take that back.
I stand by what I said about there being more grass on it than last year. The Stoke FA cup game Was awful.

The whole of the quarter of the pitch was covered in holes.

As others have said, after the Christmas period is takes a huge turn for the worst.
It has had 5/6 sporting matches on it over the past 3 weeks.

The pitch is actually better than it’s been at the same point of last season or season before!

Add the fact played at least 3 less home games. Got knocked out away at in fa cup Walsall. Whereas season before played 1st,2nd and 3rd round of fa cup cup at home. Games take their toll.

Newport's ground pretty shocking and they manged to beat Leicester the other day - we share with rugby team so have to deal with it.
Besides it is the same for both sides so do not buy this as excuse for performance today.
Highfield Road pitches far worse and we use to turn them to our advantage in premier league beat Blackburn 5-0 for instance on a fairly shocking pitch!
Besides we have played on some nice pitches away and not exactly got great results out of those pitches this season!!

So does the pitch stop you shooting?
Make them wear boots from the 70s and 80s never seen players slip over so much every week, and it isnt even wet yet.

Blackburn 5 nil had nothing to do with condition of the pitch, wasn’t this the game played with orange ball on frozen pitch with snow on pitch!

To a degree it seemed to today, a few early chances Hiwula and I think Chaplin maybe took an extra touch and then were blocked which I'm sure wouldn't have happened were they a bit more confident in the surface. Few players losing their footing in general at times too.
You make your own luck and all that though so it's no excuse, particularly when the video at half time showed us batter Forest on a pitch that looked way worse

The pitch has always been shite and never lasted a full season. Before Wasps and since.
Yes rugby on the same pitch doesn’t help but I don’t buy this ‘it’s all Wasps fault because of the fractured relationship’ etc!
Although today I reckon even Hiwula would have managed to have made an image by doing a dot to dot on the sand patches!!

Pitch looked poor and that will be worse should we have a bad spell of weather.
Comparisons can be made to pitches and sandpits of old but the modern player trains on a smooth lush training pitch then goes to the Ricoh and plays on the local parks pitch.
