I think we've now got players to fit into a 4-5-1, apart from our main problem of sticking the ball in the net. So I'd still like to fit 2 strikers on if possible.

So I'm going

I would have Bayliss where bright is mate if he’s fit looks a strong side that tbh

Can’t see Kelly being dropped mate
If K is fit... its probably westbrooke||bayliss who will lose out. Can't see Meyler not getting a start but if he is not fully fit one of above will be on for him for last 20mins or so

I can't see Wakefield and Westbrooke being in the same side.

Can you imagine thr commentary on CWR!

Our new boys do seem to be adding some height into the side though, I think Robins has done really well. Meyler will allow Kelly and Bayliss [or Westbrooke] to get further forward, which will allow Chaplin further forward to ply his trade in the penalty area, where he belongs. I am going for a 5-0 win.

Few reasons I didn't.

1. I wanted to be able to do both formations without needing to change personnel - couldn't do that with Bayliss as he's not a forward which Bright apparently is. Bright looked lost on the left but more effective in the middle so I want to see what he can do there.
2.Bayliss hasn't set the world alight this season and IMO could do with a rest. I think Westbrooke has looked capable when filling in.
3. Bayliss might be injured or carrying a knock

For me the biggest gamble is Wakefield on the right as I don't know anything about him. But having come from the Chelsea youth ranks I'm hoping he and Sterling have spent at least some time together previously and supposedly can also fill in at the back so he and Sterling can overlap.

It does mean Thomas moving onto the left, but he is a natural left footer and though it takes a bit of his coming inside and shooting ability away, he tends to put them wide anyway. If it goes well we could even try swapping the two wings over for a bit.

Last week Bayliss was interviewed in the lounges before the game and said that they were going to give his injury "a couple of weeks rest".

And wasn't it John Holmes who dicked us about?
Otis. Think it’s only the two of us who remember the legend JH and his renowned member.

Geez, I hate it when I have to give you a like.

You lot read what you want between the the lines.

Bayliss is a Rolls Royce. Meant to say he wasn’t a big loss last match. Westbrook played well last match, hence that’s why I’d fit him into the team somehow.

Funny how the chap from Chelsea who hasn’t played a competitive men’s league match is picked ahead of Westbrook.

Have to say, I'm quite impressed with Gillingham's transfer dealings. Ricky Holmes (Sheff Utd). Tavon Williams (Forest Green - scores goals) Graham Burke (PNE) and da Silva (Wigan). Hopefully they are all rusty !!

Westbrooke did do okay. Much prefer Bayliss as of now though.
