I’m running the London Marathon in April for charity, and for some unknown reason since I found out a had a place in October my activity levels (football, gym, running) decreased and socialising increased (lots of food and beer!).
However, now Christmas and NY are done, I’m starting my training properly. My main worry is the boredom as it’s a long time to be running, so for now I’m focusing my training on longevity as opposed to miles, to try and get my body and mind used to it. I ran for an hour on Sunday and managed just over 6 miles which I was really pleased with.
I also played football on Monday night, however I failed to wake up for the gym this morning which is a little disappointing. However I’m aiming for another long (ish) run tomorrow!
While the main aim is to raise money for a charity linked to my Mum, I’m hoping a bi-product will by increased fitness levels and the disappearance of the horrible beer tyre I’ve gained the last few months!!
