Early Bird/ Cashflow (9 Viewers)

I touched on this in another thread, but can anybody remember when they started the early bird last year? I thought it was about March/April time, but may well be wrong. At this time the club would normally rake in a fair bit of cash, which presumably helps run the club/aids player purchases etc. This is likely to be difficult this season if they cannot sell season tickets in advance? Anybody have any insight into this?

Well it holds 4500 with 500 seats not sure what the away end holds so maximum of about 3000 ST I would have thought.
Dont think the ground is up to code though.

Dont believe that is what the problem is think it is the ground in general, better ones in non league.
Bedworth oval has a nicer stand.

And three sides of Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium are definitely standing room only as well. I was surprised that a club who only last season had been in the Championship were allowed to get away with this, but the rules apparently say that it's only after three years in the Championship that you have to go all seated.

Perhaps they have held back some of the player sale monies to cover this cash flow gap ? Perhaps there is a plan B that the efl will simply have to accept? ( no one really thinks they would boot out one of their own members do they?) The wheels for plan B would have to be in motion now and probably discussed with the efl already.

Maybe he could remove even more from his other stadium one stand has a quarter missing there are about 6 different coloured seats ash well so should be able to get some to match.

I’ll be buying and we have some money to buy another person and child one from the fund raising last year and if people are up for it again, will run that again to help out others again.

I will be getting a season ticket - but the club must be hoping to get moving on this asap. with regards to forward planning; however, it probably barely registers on our owner's radar, in their overall master plan (whatever that is!)

Another issue if we were to play at Nuneaton, is that given their limited capacity, I would imagine the club would have little choice but to effectively double the price of season tickets & match tickets (if any were available).

I've got a feeling there is that kind of rule in the Prem, but not so sure about EFL. If our capacity is 4,500 you have to think that we would sell that in season tickets alone if allowed to. I think we are obligated to offer something like 10% to away fans, and if say we had to do offer the same percentage for individual match tickets, it would leave only 3,500 for season tickets. Supply & demand would then dictate that the club would be able to significantly increase ticket prices, and also need to adopt some kind of membership system to prioritise the sale of individual match tickets.

Yeah, whatever is said in public I'm confident the EFL will agree another ground share if it comes to it.
What worries me more is whether SISU will launch another round of litigation if (or more likely when) this one fails in a few weeks.

On the face of it you'd think being forced out of Coventry is playing in to SISU's hands. They can no doubt engineer another court case out of that and as we've seen even when they have no hope of winning they can keep these things going for years.

Pissing off the fans by playing out of Coventry wouldn't bother them in the slightest if they felt it gave them the upper hand elsewhere.
