Whilst we know that the fans who frequent the RTG forum aren't representative of the Sunderland fanbase, we also know that they have a good number of knobs who will latch onto anything to rake up an irrational and juvenile hate based on events around the last 15 minutes a relegation season.

We also know that we have our fair share of cokeheads, so you'd have to believe that some inexcusable behaviour went on. Personally, I hope that the individuals are identified and dealt with.

The 'however' here is that a minority of Sunderland fans have stirred up a rivalry between the clubs based on very little, and have done so with utter disgrace.

When I was young, about five or six, there was a teenage girl that lived at the bottom of my street. She clearly had testosterone problems: she was built very strongly and had hair on face, almost a moustache. She took an awful lot of stick from us kids. One day I was giving it large, and she caught me one big time. My mates immediately looked to take my side by saying she was out of order. I remember being quiet through shock for 10 seconds until surprising myself by saying, "no, I deserved that".

From what I seen they came looking for trouble and got what was coming to them. They ended up running away in the end. Don’t condone any of the nonsense but what did they expect looking for trouble at the away coaches.
I heard one got knocked out outside the ground as well. They were pretty indiscriminate outside the ground so fuck 'em as far as I'm concerned. The ones we spoke to were sound mind, social media gives rise to hysterical idiots tbh.

They tried to start something against the fans on the club coaches, most of which are families and normal people just wanting to watch the match. Once they came across a coach/minibus with actual “lads” on it they got a hiding.

As pathetic as some of those comments are, for many in football the big story today is West Ham fans on the tram to Old Trafford singing anti-Semitic songs. These moaners from Wearside might be sad and tiresome but they're hardly at the level of cretinousness that's been displayed by these Hammers fans today.

Exactly. 95% of their fans will be just like 95% of our fans i.e. normal fans who just want to go and enjoy games, have a bit of banter and avoid anything aggressive. Correct me if I am wrong but before social media i.e. when we regularly played Sunderland in the 1990s, there wasn't all this bile and aggro?

There definitely wasn't, just that nice Mart Poom chant.

Making out we only normal travel with a few hundred die hards etc when our average away attendance all in was similar to there’s last year...pure ignorance.

Saw throwing. Inexcusable. And anyone involved is a c**t. But I’ve genuinely never seen such animosity towards me and my mates minding our own business in my life. Snarling sugar puff toothed 50+ year olds offering us out and singing about jimmy hill being dead. Bunch of deprived lunatics. Scarpered straight back to Newcastle after. Sunderland is a giant Nuneaton. Makes Cov look like Monaco.

5-4 cry in a minute

It's laughable that they think it's a big day out. We've took followings like that for years now.

What with all the "stuff" that must have been raining down on the home fans i can't wait to see the apocalyptic footage they would no doubt have of falling glasses, pyros, bags of shit, kitchen sinks, jimmy hill statues.... Surely one of the 30 odd thousands would have recorded something?!

oh wait.... bullshit

I mean I can’t even sneak back in the stands with a beer or a bottle of coke with the fucking lid still on but some one has managed to obtain a plastic bag, take it in the toilet, have a shit in it, walk past the stewards and police with said poo bag and launch it at their fans.

Fair fucking play.

we were doing it at the Ricoh according to one fuckin' mackem pellet yesterday. If you could turn bullshit into points they'd be top of the prem.
The problem is it's like the boy who cried wolf, any genuine complaints from yesterday get lost in all the made up bollocks.

After their Wembley loss they had a 40 odd page thread on Pompey fans and how they were attacking families, disabled people the Elderly etc similar to yesterday.

The amount of CCTV that’s at grounds it will be interesting to see if anything comes of the complaints in the next week or so of according to them 100s of missiles being thrown all game.

I’m not saying we are completely innocent but 100s is a bit of an overstatement. Would of been like a scene in Syria if that was the case

Their forum makes this one seem normal, there’s some right weirdos on theirs.

They’ve spent so much into creating a non-existent rivalry and abused our club and celebrated a dead man’s death and called him a poof as an insult...and then they get upset when they get some back?

The best part is how going up to Sunderland is supposed to be every clubs cup final - ha ha ha!

I’ve read there site and was falling around laughing. Not at the behaviour of our fans yesterday but the pathological lies some of them are telling each other. Is the water up there contaminated or something with bullshit dreaming drugs?

Also, this embarrassing rivalry that they have pinned on CCFC is pathetic. Drop it now silly boys we don’t give a fart about Sunderland do we?
