I would renew 3 plus add my youngest daughter .

Put it another way ,I wouldn’t buy any if it’s outside of Coventry

Honestly if they did this I'd expect a rush of season ticket sales and more sold than this season

This is actually a worry. The demand for tickets would be higher than the Ricoh with a far smaller capacity.

It would probably sell out the capacity with season tickets alone

If this is a genuine and viable option, then however much the council hate us, surely they can see the benefits of keeping the club in the City and the additional income streams to local businesses. Parking and travel will of course be a nightmare, but it's hardly a thriving environment around there and you simply plan your journey accordingly.

I doubt there's a single City fan who wouldn't be well up for this, although I want to secure my season ticket as early as possible to ensure we're in the covered stand rather than temporary seating.

John Sharp said:
"We'll offer what support we can to get there, but the one thing we cannot do is have any formal arrangement with them, any groundshare, whilst they're owned by their current owners.

"Whether correctly or not, the current owners are vilified within the city. Whether that is fair or not, I'm not going to comment on.

"But we have spent many years re-establishing our status in the city. I'm not prepared to risk that by associating with City's owners."

If as many are saying the opinion is swinging towards at least some animosity towards the council could the bolded bit be key? He entertained the idea before the council stuck their beaks in.

I get what he’s saying but money talks mate the income would be massive for them

In the long run, that could actually be good for our support if people need to buy season tickets / buy a ticket early to get in. It'd create a pent-up demand that just isn't there now. Even for the game on the 28th, I know I can leave it to the last minute to buy a ticket, so I'm less likely to bother full-stop.

Would also propel away attendances further if less people can attend home matches because they are sold out

You can see the pitch from several viewpoints outside the ground, so no need for season tickets, free football!!

I can't believe this is anything but a made up load of nonsense for click bait as usual from a hedge fund inspired PR outfit. I'm pretty sure that Mr Sharp said firstly that CRFC don't want to deal with SISU and who would blame him for that. Secondly CCFC would have to invest heavily to upgrade the stadium to accommodate football fans and that would mean also clearing all the stuff already in situ and sorting out separate access for away fans. They're not going to get all that for £100k that's for sure !
Cov rugby will have doubled their turnover I'm guessing to around £1.2 million this year so although extra revenue is always going to be welcome, someone would have to pay for the changes to be made within 4 months to make it beneficial.
Personally I think this is more SISU bullshit and another chance to point the finger elsewhere. I just hope people don't start to drag CRFC into their blame game.

How is it SISU bullshit when they haven't confirmed it?

I think the Butts story is a ploy to distract attention from elsewhere. Until a definite arrangement has been announced nothing has happened.

So where did it come from?

On a side note what would let’s say £100,000 a season do for the financial side of Coventry rugby club in the event of a rent agreement , would it be enough to propel them up the championship
And of course if the work needed to bring the ground up to FL standard was paid for by CCFC as long as it was done in a way that matched CRFCs plans that would be less money they’d have to spend themselves.

I mean how easy are temporary stands? Could always alternate weeks with the football and rugby?

So where did it come from?

Having a step back, I don't think it originally came from the club. It is more likely from the other "side".

Be interesting to see how Sharp responds. Would expect him to move quickly to repeat his ‘can’t work with SISU’ line if there’s nothing to it.

Not one mention of how this would be good for the fans, the club, the local area or CRFC, should a deal to stay at the Ricoh not be a viable option, just a disgruntled opinion based on the Club's owners.

There is no mention anywhere that this could be SISU PR, however it has been stressed by the EFL that they require CCFC to remain within a small distance of Coventry itself - so on that basis you could surmise that this could happen, potentially!

I'd actually be amazed if this happens. I think St Andrews would be more likely
More than likely something not been mentioned yet.
