Surely this week we will have some of idea as to where we will be playing! Everyone still hopeful a deal can be done?
I'm still hopeful.
Its almost too quiet if you know what i mean?
Can wasps afford the bad press kicking us out the ricoh though? Not particularly. But never say never in football. I do think it's dangerous to be clinging onto hope though - which hasn't been helped by the wave of rumours recently. Whether they're originating from Wasps stirring the pot to further shift the blame onto SISU, or they're genuine, I still think it's wise to take them with a pinch of salt. I don't doubt conversations are still going on behind closed doors but unless we give Wasps indemnity I don't see any way forward in the Ricoh negotiations. Neither the club, nor SISU would be foolish enough to agree to such terms though, hence why it's of my opinion that we should be preparing ourselves for a ground share.
Maybe Blues being 100% off makes the ricoh deal more likely, i doubt sisu would of had a backup plan to bluesThere will be an announcement this week as there has to be. Whether it's what we want and hope for who knows until it's actually signed, but the next vote is 29th (next Thursday) and invites/agenda need to be sent by this Thursday so an announcement must be imminent. If it doesn't happen, you can bet your last £ that Notts County among other relegated sides who have a vested interest will all be campaigning to win support for their re-election.
It will need resolving without any further extensions as teams will have budgets in place, targets acquired and contracts established etc.
My understanding is that Blues is 100% off, therefore if the alternative options are not approved, then the situation could become far more serious than simply being temporarily relocated.
Big few days ahead!
The other thing to note is that the EFL will be working on the 19/20 fixture list (published on 20th June), which will become harder to manage if there is a groundshare, so i suspect there will be no extension past the vote next week (unless we play all our games on Friday nights or Sundays).

Thought the Butts is a no go due to the Council putting the block on that one (see leaked e.mail!)Burton was definitely off as the chairman said publically. The Butts too with temp stands would be fine. I wonder if they would consider Sixfields again?
I don't think that the covenant banning professional football at the Butts was ever added to the lease terms. The stumbling block to a deal with CRC is that they refuse to have business dealings with Sisu.Thought the Butts is a no go due to the Council putting the block on that one (see leaked e.mail!)

Walsall?

I heard we approached Walsall but they weren't interested.

Have Leamington built their new 5,000 seater down Europa Way yet???
Look as far as Wasps are concerned the request to the EC is legal action /QUOTE]
and won't want the bad press,
Firstly despite my contempt for SISU I think they have been done over after provocation and therefore legal action could ensue at some point. Also someone owns Nuneaton stadium and that someone might well be calculating a few figures right now.It is only legal action if CCC are found to have done something wrong.
Nuneaton don't own their ground, why would they be desperate for a groundshare with us?
Yeah, possibly. However, I also believe that the owner is planning a hybrid pitch (not the same as at Ricoh) that although ok for Rugby, is a no under EFL rules for football. Allegedly being installed for start of next season.Yes, that was a few years ago. Wondered if the amendment was actually added or due to the leak was dropped. I just thought I heard the Butts being mentioned. Might just have been rumours on here, of course.
