A perfect statement would be to boycott MK away and take 10k to stand outside the Ricoh and cause a nuisance, particularly if we managed to have more outside than inside. Unfortunately plenty of our fans still can't work out the irony of attending MK while avoiding St Andrews.
You beat me to it!

Fuck MKunts away, fans that go to that and not St. Andrews at least once are fookin hypocrites.

Tbf, I doubt there are that many who'd be that stupid.

no not all. I think it is a fair stance and one i would advise in their situation. I just dont think fans should refer to it as still in place when i seriously doubt it is
Who is saying it is still in place?

Most would assume it's on the basis of a deal being done. It is mentioned when it's said a deal couldn't be done because of the legals.

I think some people read too much into the reasons for our big support at the MK games. In my opinion it had more to do with joining a bandwagon of support and enjoying a good day out, than any protest against our owners, and if the same happens this season it won't be any different. I also doubt it will have occurred to many that there maybe a hypocritical element to attending the game, or even if it did, that they would care anyway. Also remember that we have won every game we have played at MK when we have taken a big support, so why would we not want to do that again?

OK playing devils advocate a little, but we all know words are carefully arranged in amongst this PR. Could it be that this irrevocable undertaking given by SISU was actually subject to a deal for CCFC to be at the stadium being completed. It would be unlike SISU to give up something without some reward or get out (that is not saying they would be unreasonable in doing so either). So is the irrevocable guarantee still in place or did it die when no deal was done? Are we taking things at face value when in actual fact things are a little more grey.? I would think it prudent to have worded it as given "subject to" personally otherwise they give up on legal rights for no gain in return

The rest of the stuff this week starting with the JS interview, through to and including statements by Wasps CCC Hoffman etc just leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. Just when you think things can not get any messier .............. they do :banghead::banghead::banghead: You can not believe any of them. None of them come out of it with any real credibility, all of them openly mislead and play on words

Do you mean, if the EU complaint is found in favour of SISU's complaint, they can get a share of (or buy into) the Ricoh?

EDIT : Just re-read, I misunderstood. :woot:

"If you want to watch City at St Andrews, just buy a ticket in the away end when they become available."

Saw that the other day, tells you everything you need to about the mental capacity on there.

I don't think anyone thinks otherwise do they? Certainly wouldn't expect SISU to sign up to something and then have Wasps walk away, they aren't that naive.

Monumental bit of spin from the Telegraph to get this as their front page with what has gone on the last couple of days. Listened to the news on CWR and the start of Sport at 6 and not a mention.

Assume where they've put trusted news is supposed to be ironic.

I still think there is more to the timing of Oversons comments than meets the eye though I'm totally bemused as to what.

Yes it's desgusting, two hedge funds and a local council ripping the heart out of the football club.

Instead of Birmingham, we could’ve gone to the wall m8
In Hindsight, if we knew then what we know now, we should have gone into administration.

It wouldn't have bin any worse, a clean sheet and start again.

Too many egos just wouldn't let it happen .

Because history suggests that is what they do, by whatever means they can. They observed a new angle which is why they stepped back from their initial course & softened their attitude. They know that if the EU find wrongdoing - it could mean some financial difficulties for Wasps meaning they could get the Ricoh (on the cheap)

I don't get how the value being raised means SISU get the Ricoh on the cheap. Would they not have to pay the new, higher value?

They filed to the EU after dropping the levels against them knowing full-well there could be financial implications for Wasp's that could ruin them. JS bleating on TV after all these years of treating the fans with contempt simply won't wash with me.

Only thing that got my goat was wearing that dress and saying she's a Sky Blues fan. It's business and money, I get that and if you have to act in your investers best interests thats fine, but please don't try to kid us it's anything other than that.

Her "first ever TV interview"?? Thats a big wow, my initial thoughts were deperation, we must be more important to the SISU empire than we thought. However, there have been lots of speculation and SISU bashing from our highy regarded local media so she's got to try and put the record straight. Radio silence is not working with the larger population.

Looking at the continuous fluffs and contradictions coming out from Council HQ, it's been the right decision - she knows they have been sneeky themselves and it's the right time to try and take advantage of that. Am glad she went to Sky as this is a major national broadcaster which won't spin the story either way, although someone with more knowledge in the background to the saga could have delved deeper.

She put across fair points and it was good to finally get the top dog to break silence after so many "Joy this" and "Joy that". She and her minions have a lot to answer for but for those that just blame SISU for all our woes, I hope she has opened a few blinkered eyes.

I’m surprised they published this on their website. [edit] the Overson article that is.

Poor Katy, probably wasn't working there when the CT editor was "briefed". I hope she doesn't end up on the carpet tomorrow, could we have a local journo who actually paints both sides of the fence?

In a way I think everything is finally coming to a head here. Everyone is now coming out with what has really gone on behind the scenes, who’s been involved etc. So many characters in this tragedy now choose to speak.

I honestly can’t tell what that means for us now. Everyone has drawn their lines in the sand. Wasps have their stance and won’t back down and Sisu obviously won’t either (we shouldn’t underwrite any losses).

Either wasps will give way first or this could be a long haul trip away from Coventry for the club.

Although I have a feeling that once the Eu decision is made sisu will now sell up. I feel there’s some damage control being done by the sole director of Sisu. She’s basically saying the club is available but for a price (in her head) as we’re on the up.

The short snippet of interview about wasps felt like a sales pitch to me. She said something about £7m and the two parties moving away from agreement point (or along those lines). Nice platform on TV without saying explicitly it's up for sale.
Overson is obviously still in the background - can he generate a new consortium?
Just can't see how this ends up with us back (and owning) the Ricoh other than waiting they next couple of years out to how wasps shape up.

Haha absolute madness. If London Wasps are worried about having acted illegally then they should take it up with CCC or have a look in the mirror.
I think they might just be a possibility that they are more concerned that CCC might get found out if they have done something untoward. Hence their annoyance with SISU for filing the complaint...coz it may cause themselves having to pay money back into the public coffers or something?

MK Dons is the worst away day ever. Grounds absolutely ages away and there’s no pubs at all if you get off at MK central

Because the actions of the council and wasps have left us without a ground and we weren’t offered the same deal to buy the ground. The club is facing the risk of homelessness and reduced revenue for eternity now. It’s very survival is threatened.

So good for them. It’s the correct course of action. What would you have them do?

Even if the Council have done wrong it may not follow that WASPS will be penalised
However, if it can shown WASPS were complicit in the wrong doing .......................
Aha...a bit like receiving stolen goods you mean. Now we are on the same wavelength!
