Where's he going to play in our system? Don't we need a Baka type playing the central role?

Amazing turnover they have. Posh have this knack of making a good profit from players every season and keeping a strong squad. They find some tea gems and sell on for a big fee.
Fry has always been notorious for this
In earlier years he sometimes bought and sold players again within weeks, especially in the days before strict transfer windows when they could be sold at any time in the season
Some managers had deals where they received a percentage of any profits on player sales
Don't know if this is still the case but Fry loves to boast of the profits he makes for his club through his wheeler dealing

Panic signing this for me hope we are looking elsewhere

Strikes me as a Bakayoko type deal. Never in a million years is / was he our number 1 target, but he was available, and an incomer was needed.

Fortunately Baka hasn’t turned out as badly as he could have (I for one thought he was going to be sent packing even before he got started after Robins’ first post match comments), so who knows!

Just don’t think Robins will be given the funds to go out & get who he wants I can see a young loan coming in.If we are going to play 433 who ever plays in that striker role has to be able to hold the ball up at least, out of the strikes we have its only max I feel can do this.

I think if we secured Matt Godden Bakayoko might be moved on still nearly a month to go for loans for leagues one and two, not sure about permanent just can’t see us having Baka, Biamou and Godden

I think we'd keep all 3 whilst Max is getting back to full fitness. Robins is only going to give him cameo appearances for the next month or two I would have thought?

He'll have been scouted surely? What are you basing the feeling on? Genuine question.

It's just a feeling, not based on anything particularly rational apart from him being 28 and older than our usual permanent signings.

That said, you could say the same about McFadzean.

I'm sure Godden would have been on the list, albeit behind Walker.
But 18 goals last season at this level is good and Robins has a nack of improving players.
