My neighbour is a steward in the corporate area, and has met bright numerous times. He was stewarding in the block behind block 26 where I was.
He assures me he was there because he spoke to him. He was laughing when telling me, because he said bright spent the whole game denying who he was when approached by fans.
Is it possible that the other version (Dabo’s brother?) was as a result of Bright telling everyone he was someone else? Or were there 2 lookalikes?

Not sure it means anything anyway, he watched a game as he wasn’t playing that day.

Was he limping? :)

Bit cryptic to make sense of really. Past = wolves? Future = CCFC? Who knows, he’s made plenty of similar posts over the summer that you can read what you want to read into.

Will find out one way or the other this week. Maybe...

Sorry to ask this after nearly 36 pages but.....is the general feeling on this forum that he's likely to sign, or not? Seems not but I ain't reading this thread all the way from the start, not at this time of the evening.

Fit your future - somewhere new, not your past - Not Wolves or Coventry.

Although I don't have inside info on this one the most likely scenario is that Wolves want him to sign a new contract before allowing him to go out on loan
That's what normally happens with young players with big potential
The fact he's not featured for them in pre season and he's not injured suggests they're keeping him roasting to try to force his hand

Not exactly sure what happens after deadline day which is Thursday but I think Prem teams name their 25 man squads doubt he will be in that but do they announce youth or U/23 squads too he would probably be in that keeps his value up, then I suspect they will loan him out again

Their manager said last week that they were looking for a loan for him
He's in the last year of his contract

Here’s an idea-lets wait until he signs for us or somebody else. Then we can discuss :emoji_thumbsup:

Bright came across as some who liked to ‘feel the love’ when here which is why he likes it so much. Could be that Wolves’ stance is pissing him off and making him want to leave.

Is thursdays deadline for championship clubs for both loan and permanent deals?

You'd like to think, if so, after that has closed we would be in a strong position.

Ends I believe Thursday for prem and championship don’t know if that includes loans. Division one and two have until Sept. 2nd

I think we can all agree Bright would be the missing piece in our promotion jigsaw.

Think we'd have to rejig the formation for him though - the 4-3-3 wouldn't really suit his game unless we get the other two dropping deep to give him the freedom. So it'd probably go back to a 4-2-3-1.

Without a doubt if nothing happens before Thursday we’re in with a good chance here once the windows close for Prem & Champ

You would like to think so, but he could also go abroad.

I posted this on the Godden thread, not really the right place for it: response to someone asking why would wolves would let him go out on loan..

is my logic sound? i do live in hope as if we bag Bright I could see us having a great season..

---

Maybe Wolves triggered the contract extension with the idea that by loaning him and seeing how he gets on they dont actually lose anything. selling him now for 1m isn't going to affect their budgets, id say they are more than happy with loaning him out for a potentially better pay out or the chance that he will prove he is good enough for a new contract. My guess/hope is that Wolves were hoping he would get a loan to the Championship but he has said he wants to play for us, hence the hold-up.

for me the scenarios are

A) he absolutely smashes it meaning he might be ready for the step up and they can offer him a new contract
B) he does OK but still leaves them with one more year first team football that will make compensation due to them is higher
C) he doesn't kick on and leaves for lower sum (still wont lose out)

Stuggled with that bit mate.
edited it, still probably illegible! but my gist was that whilst 1m for a player to us is massively extravagant to any Prem club its gonna barely register. I can see the logic in Wolves taking a gamble on triggering the extension on the off chance he will have a blinding season out on loan which will either push the compensation up or make it more realistic that he could get a game at wolves if he signed a new deal

They've already triggered his extension and offered a further contract. Feeling is that he hasn't gone out on loan yet as he's yet to sign the deal and they don't want him out on loan in the last year of his deal.

yeah but where is the sense of keeping hold of someone for the reserve league if they are definitely off next summer, his value at tribunal would stagnate possibly drop if they did that.
