The EFL said every 3 months they expect an update on the progress. When those 3 months start however is anyone’s guess!

Are the Trust incontact with any of the involved parties ?
For a supporters Trust there is total silence. Surely its members are entitled to know that something / anything is being done.
Waiting for EFL updates is not good enough..

On another point CJ, is anyone responsible for answering questions put to the Trust vis their Website or Twitter account ?

CCFC fans won’t impact the outcome of elections. Can we stop this magical thinking please? Just like we won’t impact hedge funds, we won’t impact a rugby clubs bottom line, we won’t impact the electoral chances of any candidate local or national.

Everyone knows. The issue isn’t awareness. It’s simply down to Wasps changing their mind and they either will or won’t do that.

All we can do is ensure there’s a club to come back whenever it happens. And you do that by supporting the team. That’s our job.

Don't agree we won't impact the rugby clubs bottom line, we clearly do.
Whether we impact them sufficiently enough to cause them an issue is a different matter.
The announcement today about the casino suggests we may not be as significant as we think, but there are suggestions that the deal was struck prior to it being announced we would be playing at St.Andrews though I don't know if that's true or not.
I always think the timing of these announcements is telling, but maybe that's just me over thinking these press releases though I'd say in the past the timing has been relevant.

When this came out it was ignored by the Telegraph, CWR and the Trust.

If this is true, what is the upshot? Do we just sit on our hands and let things carry on around us? Why aren’t there protests at what the council are doing? Hard to see that the telegraph could ignore several hundred City fans who protest outside the council house. I would be up for this, would you?

Assuming that the Trust are not going to do this, would it be possible to put one together from this forum? I would think that it needs to be an institution rather than just individuals. It would also need to be taken up by both traditional and social media.

It really needs to come from the Trust, hence the numerous threads of here and social media wanting them to pressure all sides.

They have the ear of the media and are the self proclaimed biggest fans group. If they started making some noise it becomes much harder for the Telegraph and CWR to ignore.

How does it put pressure on the council? When it came out that SISU had approached the council and the council hadn't responded there was zero pressure on the council but lots of people posting saying it was a waste of time and SISU will never build a stadium.

The problem is that the 2 most high profile local journalists are seen as pro sisu or pro wasps respectively
Anything they do is dismissed out of hand by their detractors.

Wasps dont issue many statements and the ones they do usually give very little detail. They wont have changed their position

CCC will have been advised by their legal department not to comment whilst the EC investigation goes on. CCC wont provide any details on a possible new stadium discussions, apparently its confidential.

SISU have had their say and have either had no positive reply from the parties or replies that dont always make sense. They dont usually say much in any case and wont have changed their position. Being quiet suits them especially whilst CCFC are doing well. They triggered the EC investigation and it will rumble on with SISU knowing nothing will move until the EC decide what to do.

CCFC want everyone to concentrate rightly on the football & team so wont want to muddy that with off field matters. They are talking up the benefits of a different pitch other than that its about the manager & team.

Imo the point to push first is where is there, or is there a suitable site to build a new ground within our city it puts all parties on the spot. Does it have to be on council owned land ? for example, I’ve mentioned Hearsall Common before which is common land under the control of ccc but next door to the common is a large industrial estate where there’s a couple of empty large units which might be big enough for a HR type ground.

That would be a good site. It's right next to Canley station which has regular trains. Near the A45. Only a couple of residences in the area. Village hotel next door might like the room rent from away fans and pre-match bar takings.

We can pretty safely say Sisu and wasps holdings will not be speaking at all. The two clubs may have an open line of communication with each other but that is meaningless - foot soldiers in the battle

The situation will not change until the complaint is decided - if it’s upheld then unless wasps changes stance there is a real problem. The impact on revenue and added cost is probably sustainable for a year but to retain competitiveness the ongoing costs will be too much

I suspect little will happen until next summer

Whilst we are still members of the EU, we do have MEP's and it might be worth asking the question to our representatives at Brussels for a statement on the progress with the EU's investigation of the complaint made by SISU regarding the sale of the Ricoh to Wasps. They will have to respond, if only to say the process hasn't been started ...or we might be lucky to find out a timeline for a decision.

Yes, unfortunately I cant see anyone rushing to do anything until the EC ruling is published, and I cant see that going against wasps/council (albeit with my limited legal knowledge)

If the attendances hold up at brum, and we continue to be welcome there, why would sisu want to return to the ricoh to help prop up a struggling wasps? (Despite their publicly stated desire to return)

The council will just sit back now and let the two clubs sort themselves out, and will only be involved for planning purposes, regarding any potential new ground.

Sisu will stay at brum and hope wasps go bust in the meantime (which is more than likely)and are forced to negotiate some kind of joint ownership of the stadium.
