From the beeb match report... accurate??? (not that it matters).

Jobello's scuffed cross from the right evaded everyone apart from Shipley, who hit a powerful left-footed half-volley past goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola and into the net.

My biggest complaint was that he left jobello on for 5/10 minutes too long, however if That happened we may not have score the second the way we did do that's that

I thought Bristol were the least worst of the teams we have played so far, thought we needed to change earlier than we did. However we won 2-0, MR is the boss so what I think is irrelevant.

Had a hospitality meal at St Andrews, the quality is absolutely superb.

Highly recommended.

Cant be arsed to trapse all the way to Portsmouth, I will leave that to the NOPM Facebook bunch.

Roll on Gillingham.

Oh, and Kasteneer's gola after delightful skil by Dabo we brilliant. Mason had a really good game, deserved his MOTM. A few contenders.

We have now played three of the bottom four so I’m not getting carried away. Bristol were dreadful...not having a single shot on target all game. Thought our backfour were excellent; any one of them could have won MOTM.

There's an argument to be made that today we made Bristol look dreadful too.. Not many teams at this level move the ball around like we do, it's hard to chase the ball for long periods

Watching via iFollow the view of the game is limited as you don't see players off ball contributions so much. So for me we pressed well in first half and finally got a break through from a scuffed shot from Shipley. He drifts into these positions throughout a game and will always have a goal in him. But I still don't think he offers enough in the middle throughout 90 minutes against tougher yet to come opposition as I think we will see from Allen. Second half we were less authoritive and scored late on with a great combination and strike.
I still worry that with all our intent and possession we are not making enough clear cut chances (stats say we made one clear cut chance) or work the goalkeeper enough.
But winning grows confidence and the side will get better so I see it crucial we get a good performance at Pompey which will be the key to an early sign of our promotion credentials.

Signed up for a 12 match package and 2 JSB m/ships and was a about little apprehensive about the trip to Birmingham. Have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a doddle to get there and park (from Derby). Nice pitch is a bonus and suited some great passing today. Looking forward to the next one.

One clear cut chance? We scored twice, hit the post, Godden had a good chance first half that the defender did really well to block, that header second half looked a decent chance, and we created a lot of good situations. Final ball was lacking at times, but overall I thought it was a dominant and impressive performance.

Hiwula missed a sitter too and Bakayoko missed what looked like a straightforward header

Watching on the tv gives you less of an insight? Someone should tell sky sports.

2 points today that annoyed me during the game
1) why wasn’t their player given a straight red for kicking Kelley on the ground after he had fouled Kelley?
2) in the first half when players went down with head injuries the ref gave the ball to their keeper. Yet second half when a player down with head injury there was a ‘drop’ ball given to rovers on half way line. Inconsistent.

A great result today, and another clean sheet!
I know we've played 3 poor teams so far, but that means we are picking up points while our new boys get time to settle in and get up to speed.
I think once Allen gets in the team we will really start to see some great movement, and I can see us giving a few teams a right hammering.

Well, it’s now 7 points towards our promotion push, or 7 nearer safety, depending if you glass is half full or empty.

I’ll take that after 3 games.

That attempted header from Baka today was baffling he jumped to head it but jumped back away from the ball totally misjudged it...strange

My theory is he was actually trying to do his best salmon impression and the ball just happened to get crossed at the same time
