In all seriousness (and I’m not advocating a return), a Doyle type of player might have been useful against Mackie. He took the piss and got away with it. Should have been off at one point and didn’t even give away a free kick. Doyle would at least have made the ref aware of what he was doing (as the ref didn’t seem to notice).

Agree but I love Kelly he is solid apart from today as you said he was bullied all game then jumped in at the end costing us but tbh I didn't expect any points so can't be to disappointed.

Gaz - laughing at your Jobello comment - as I think it's true!

A little harsh on McCullam - the problem of the 4-3-3 that we play is that McCullam was often left playing against two men. I think Hiwula tried to help out but was not doing so consistently - and Hiwula is far from being a natural defender. I thought Hiwula was also a big disappointment offensively as well - could have done far better a couple of times at key moments in the game.

Could be a very different picture though with a midfield of O'Hare - Kelly - Allen - controlling possession and linking the attack. Hiwula/Jobello/Godden could all make a case that with little control/possession that they had few opportunities all game.

No one is happy to lose the lead you absolute cretin.
Just not stupid enough to be slating the manager this early in the season when we're unbeaten.
One think criticising the things we've done wrong, a totally moronic other thing to be hounding the manager out the door.

Agreed Kieran. Kelly is outstanding for us every week - and all players make mistakes. This one cost us.
What I would say re: bullying is that I would like to see McFaz in there paired with either Rose/Hyam.
McFaz would have commanded the box today and provided key leadership.
As seen earlier this season he would also have stepped in immediately if any of our players were getting kicked around. And immediately put a stop to it.

To lose any 2 goal lead away from home is poor. We were on the back foot all game though I’d say and Oxford deserved something out of that for sure.

I think that's absolutely right BornSlippy - but as above from what I've seen from our earlier games - McFaz would front up and adopt a zero tolerance policy to the likes of Mackie.

Plenty of justification in what you've written Keresley. We were very fortunate to be 2-0 up in a game in which we were generally outplayed. So probably a point we didn't entirely deserve and I will take it. Looking forward to the return to the team of McFaz, Mason, Allen with O'Hare starting to see us at our full potential.
And a shout out to our fans again - fantastic support.
