Hopefully O'Hara is ok to play some part. Don't know how fit walsh is - probably start on the bench. Really hope Mason is fit. Tough game = if we can keep on top of Granduillet we will have a better chance. Can't afford to carry players (Hiwula/Jobello need to step up)

Hopeful but not expectant. I have a slightly tentative feeling going into this one and also from how a lot of our fanbase are talking I feel like it will be the world is about to end if we lose.

First proper test at Stans. I hope we go at them. I would back Godden to score against anybody in this league so let’s hive him the opportunity. McFadzean to come back in and steady the ship at the back.

their fixtures have ben fairly similar to ours in terms of the teams they've played. I think we'll win though, or at least, not get beaten.

Tricky one this they have Anthony Evans & Scannell on the wings both could cause us problems hoping mason is back for this one.Hiwula & Jobello owe us a good performance this weekend.

Mason - no way McCallum plays in the week if he doesn’t think mason will be ok
Kelly
McFadzean
Rose
Jobello
Shipley
Westbrook
Hiwula
Godden

Think he’ll go with this team

O’Hare and new guy will be on the bench and expect Shipley and westbrook to have good games. Totally agree about Jobello and hiwula needing to step up.

I think they may find they are on the bench if they don’t

Good game to be appalling at ( pub cup)and get it out the way - hopefully socks pulled up and number one team out bar Allen who is clearly more crocked than at first thought - we have the quality just but need the team to play more together !

I know I said this last week but if he's fit O'Hare has got to start!! He will tear this league up, haven't been this excited about a player for a long time. He looks the real deal.

Like said above, Blackpool had a similar start to season as us in terms of teams played, if we play well no reason we wont win this.

Hopefully McFadz will tighten defence up and wingers need to provide more cover.

I dont think we'll create many chances but with Godden on the pitch hopefully he'll only need a couple!

Plumping for a 1.0 win (or 1.1)

Why do people place the newcomer Rose - who is nice on the ball, but makes mistakes in his core job, defending - ahead of last year's player of the season, and absolutely proven at this level - Hyam?
Oh and O'Hara for Hiwula as well

I think people include Rose because it sounds as Robins likes him, sees him as first choice and is looking to develop him. He made comments about him the other week regarding utilising him as a threat in the opposition box. It is harsh on Hyam but I'd rather that situation than the one we have with Godden who seems like our only really decent striker at the moment.

Our first defeat of the season, only because a work colleague has put a bet on a home win (every time he has bet on us winning, we have lost)

think the plan might be to play the first team!
Method of play not the players! Did nothing to change it! Doing the same thing again and again kept ending up with the same outcome

I only watched the 2nd half but I didn't detect a method of play! It was atrocious. It will be better Saturday, trust me!

Interesting point to make however is that Blackpool have had 85 shots put at them in 6 matches this season.. The 4th most in the league... So either the teams they have played can't finish a wank or they have Oliver kahn in goal.

In comparison city have had 55 put at them in 6 matches.. The 5th least of any team

Blackpool have had 62 shots at goal this season, bottom half stats

City have had 72 shots, top half stats and City have had the second most amount of shots on target this season with 30

Everything statistically points towards a Coventry win

3-0 loss then

I think the centre half pairing will be interesting. Conceding three at Oxford gives Robins a pass to pick his two preferred choices. I’m not too fussed with whoever he goes with.

I’m happy with McCallum at left back if mason isn’t ready. I also don’t think Westbrooke will be or deserves to be dropped for this one. Wouldn’t be too surprised to see the same team as the Oxford game.

Blackpool have the potential to do well this season. Hopefully they come to play and not put ten men behind the ball.

Trying to buy some hospitality tickets for this in the international lounge - but I don't seem to have a choice on the tickets I buy? Just assigns me to a row and 2 seat numbers but no option to change or see where they are? Any ideas

I've said it before, Robins will not change a team that hasn't lost unless there are injuries.

So

Marosi
Rose
Hyam
Mason
Dabo
Kelly
Shipley
Westbrooke
Hiwula
Godden
Jobello

If fit I expect O’Hara to start, Robins want very happy with our performance v Oxford. Wouldn’t be surprised if he and Walsh started at the expense of Jobello and Hiwula, both been garbage the last couple of games.

Agree. The idea that after a below-par performance last week Robins will stick with the same line-up simply because we didn't lose seems odd to me. You play your best side, and nobody can seriously tell me our best side, from what we have seen, doesn't include O'Hare. Not sure both he and Walsh will play, or who he will drop, but there will be changes I think.

Nailed on he picks the same side now.
