Last week the telegraph were trying to hype up a "ricoh return" and now this with some new users signing up on here especially.

Yeah, something is going on ;)

you'd have to be pretty stupid to want a guy like this to come in.
We didn't listen when Southampton told us about sisu, lets not make the same mistake

Be a disaster.

Anyone who supports this is obviously too blinded by SISU hate to think properly.

It’s worrying that councillors are commenting and accounts are popping up. I really hope there isn’t anything to it. The worst thing is people will see the headline, ignore the content and it will drum up anti SISU hate.

I think that's the intention.

When you have councillors all over it, it shows how much they care about ccfc.

This. SISU are far from perfect owners but have always paid staff and players wages on time
You forgot, that they put the club in administration hence the points deduction when Pressley took over. Many people never got paid money owed

The fact the council seem to be backing this gives me the sh*ts. I don't trust their judgement when it comes to ccfc matters.

What's this fella's net wealth?

I seem to recall someone saying £1.8 billion. He’s a member of one of Kuwait’s richest families. Maybe wishful thinking but let’s say he did take over the club, might he learn from his previous mistakes? Seen a few forest fans say he had the right intentions but surrounded himself with poor advice.

The EFL would let him in straight away as it would eliminate them of an immediate headache. We'd be back at Ricoh instantly.

Enough dosh to buy Ricoh and oust wasps?! Would be a decent start I guess.

I don't know where to start on this but you are totally delusional.
I made it really clear where to start I though? Just follow the really simple bullet points and give me your considered view on each of them?

That’s not hard at all...literally just comment on each point...?

hopefully, though people are saying that this Athletic website is generally pretty good but I've no idea and don't intend subscribing to find out.
Its certainly good for NHL ice hockey, no idea how reliable it is for CCFC stories! Of course there's a huge gulf between him being interested in buying another club and mentioning us, which could be true, and SISU being prepared to sell to him.

Telegraph hype - check
Twitter accounts firing up - check
Random new accounts on here - check
Council sticking their nose in - check

Sure we'll have something revealed in the next few weeks.

Ornstein is Arsenal’s mouthpiece in the media and will have built some solid sources who feed him the occasional tidbit from other clubs so as others have pointed out it’s far more credible than if the CT were running it

Cov telegraph are making out it’s this big great story all positive etc

Nottingham paper online has Forrest fans saying

“Pls Coventry don’t let this man near your club you’ve suffered enough love from all Forrest fans”

loads of similar comments about him having money but no idea 8 managers in 4 years lol

To put it into perspective he has a column in the Athletic. There's ten stories in the column and the one about Al-Hasawi is the last one. The only mention of us is 'Coventry City is now said to be an option'.

Woodlands is a red herring . No way will a ground ever be built there. Sisu know this so they release some half arsed statement about building there to please people like you and it works. They're taking the piss out of the fans and the efl. We stay in brum next season and we tail off in the league this season and I reckon gates will half. I guess that'll be our fault though?
Give it a couple of years and home games in Coventry will be 6k. It will be like being at St. Andrews.

I'm not, simply pointing out that you are talking nonsense. I'd love it if they fucked off tomorrow but not if a bigger c**t is going to take over. Most people on here think exactly the same. Don't know where you've got any other impression from.

Welcome to the internet, where people make shit up to fit their preconceived ideas.

Is this sarcasm or not

Please someone explain what's going on.
All I get is this guy is "wanting" to buy ccfc.
What does that council guy have to do with anything?

Councillor Maton is tweeting about this dodgy geezer having “credibility and funding” despite the fact the guy caused chaos at Forest
Ahhh ok, is there any other info?

Not really it’s a bit of a non story. But the telegraph is making positive articles, the council tweeting about him, there’s a few things over the last few weeks pushing a Ricoh return, random twitter account taking an interest in CCFC

last time this sort of activity happened, some kind of destabilising initiative started, or another Hoffman bid came out

No thanks. Better the devil you know. Doubt Sisu would sell anyway.

But one City fan councillor making a tweet is not “the council weighing in”. Talk about mountains out of molehills.

Literally haha!! People writing him off already yet we'd be back at the ricoh and robins would have more money to spend.... maybe he'd learn from his previous mistakes because in his first season they did well

Going off is previous track record Robins would be sacked.
And why would we be back at the Ricoh if he takes over?

We'd obviously be back at the ricoh if we had new owners.... we all know the beef is between wasps and sisu with both unwilling to back down
Like i said maybe he's learnt from past mistakes
