FA Cup Second Round Draw (16 Viewers)

Don't really get the 'shit draw' comments - it is the 2nd round of the FA Cup so I don't know what people expect. If it turns out to be Ipswich we play then that's 2 of the 4 biggest clubs playing each other, with both also being previous cup winners. At least we won't be getting knocked out by a non league team!!

Haha remember that one, Madine got our second goal

Great day
Just checked - it was Dec 2014. How could I have forgotten? The bloody awful numb pain and misery I suffered that day.
And I had a bout of sciatica (have I mentioned my sciatica?)
* Yes, it was a good day at the races as far as the result was concerned - that very late Madine settler caused me to move abruptly in a manner which I think went some way to sorting the trapped nerve!

I've got a few good memories of cup ties;

Blackburn away when Gunnarsson scored that screamer from about 25 yards on the volley

Newcastle home with the likes of Scott Dann and Danny Fox

Chelsea home with the Leon Best masks, the one and only time in my life I've seen a full ground for a Cov game

Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 Coventry City

Not forgetting this beauty also:emoji_ok_hand:

That Blackburn cup tie, away in about 1998/99 - we were both still Prem. We went 1-0 down after about 15 seconds and the clock at the far end hadn't even registered 3pm!
Only we can go behind 1-0 before 3pm in a 3pm KO!
What followed was just pure Cup fantasy football. The battling back to go 2-1 up at HT and then Oggy's second half penalty save in front of us, from Kevin Gallacher!

I felt like shite for that game, drove up from Bournemouth on the Friday feeling rough with man flu. Went on the lash in MK and woke up feeling even worse about 1pm.

Felt great after the match though :D

Haha i can't even remember from about 11:30am, was a great day and incredible atmosphere!!! Felt much different at MK this season though, was a strange game

I’ve been there a fair few times due to work and even now I’m still surprised at the number of pubs in such a small, shit hole of a town. Some of which are open when I’m driving to my meeting at 11am.....

Only way to make money, being open :) don't understand pubs who are hardly open, then moan about going bust.

Very tough to choose between the two Blackburn trips. Adebola’s solo goal was a thing of beauty

Anyone got any special memories of Ipswich games if we play them? I remember the game at Portman Rd in the relegation season.
Sort of a must win to have a reasonable chance of not going down.
I think we'd been on a decent run as well with the arrival of Hartson.
Typically Bellamy missed a hat full that day. We lost.
And for the first time in my City supporting life I knew that our time was basically up and we were going down after that.

Never have much luck in that part of the country.
First time I went to Norwich for an FA Cup tie we drove all the way only to find that the game was off. Drove back the next week for the re-arranged game in mid-week. Good time in the pub pre-game. We didn't turn up on the pitch. Lost pathetically. Must have been around 1992?

I have a good memory of probably the last time we played them at the Ricoh, we won the "kick for cash" programme thing and me and the lad were on the pitch. I scored from the pen and lad from the edge of the D. we went to 30yards and I screwed the fecker wide, (shit dad who used to play top amateur footy) but it's harder in front of lots of people ( that North Stand aka Telegraph) looked full. Anyway we got £50 which I gave to him and a signed ball.
If only we could play in front of a full stand again.

I played K4C at HT of the Swansea game in 09/10 season. I was the first person wise enough to bank the £100 from 30yds. Or so they told me. (Sounds like a shit claim to fame) My halfway line kick hit one of the sky blue crew (which is another blast from the past)

Thing I remember about that 'Kick for Cash' is that it showed up how crap supporters are at football. Many of those screwing shots wide from 30 yards then took their seats to probably shout obscenities at the likes of Baker, McSheffrey and David Bell. The only person I remember scoring from half way was Dietmar Bruck, doing it for charity who must have been about 70 at the time.

This is exactly what I've been saying for years. It drives me crazy when some of the usual suspects on here write about L1 footballers and say: "he's shite at football." They simply have no idea as to what it takes to get to pro level.

My hope it will be the televised Monday night game, which atleast would put us in the hat for the third round.

Name the LAST TIME the BBC televised a live CCFC game?

35 coach loads of us bussing in through Blackburn with a police escort, the only way to travel hahahha

I remember going to a game at Norwich on the supporter's coach with a police escort in the final stages.
Unfortunately it was the one supporter's coach (i.e. our only supporter's coach) which was about half full.
So not quite the dramatic impact of 35 coach loads of boozed up lads shouting on the City!

Which is an irrelevance

Actually the Chelsea game was on ITV but they don’t show the FA Cup games anymore

That's why I couldn't remember, it wasn't the charity shield in 87 was it, surely not.
