Was he that bad?
He had to do all the work himself to be honest.
I honestly can see him doing really well in league 1!

And as for wall post,
HERO!

To be fair to him he has just come back from injury and my guess is that he was rushed back too early and is therefore not match fit.

according to the BBC commentators he wasn't having a bad game and was getting past the defender a few times

I thought Baker was one of the better players today, had to create a few chances for himself. He will be excellent next season and I hope will return to the Championship with us a better player.

On a sidenote: Murphy, Hussey, McSheffrey, Bigi were hopeless. Willis, Clarke, Norwood, Baker and Roberts acquitted themselves well. Cody was after scraps as was Jeffers so I will leave them out of it.

Worth adding that a number of Saints fans I spoke to thought that young Willis contained Lambert very well today, especially considering it was his first senior game. Encouraging efforts by a lot of the youngsters-they will more than likely be forming the core of next year's team and as such I'm pleased they tried to make a fist of it. Don't understand the criticism I've seen levelled at them.

Well i thought Baker played quite well today always looked a threat, some of you people expect our players to play like Ronaldo.

Wouldn't say he was terrible but a number of Clingan-esque moments of (lack of) effort spoilt the display for me. All round, considering we didn't stand a chance going into this game, nobody performed especially poorly and the youngsters as I said deserve a good deal of credit for their endeavours in a lost cause.

Baker wasn't too bad today...he did a lot of work by himself and from where I was sitting looked like one of the few in our team who could create anything decent!

Hussey defensively was a mess. For their first goal, he paid no attention to the wide man that put the cross in. Bigi couldn't get a pass to a team mate today for the most part, just a sloppy performance really!

Hopefully the first thing they 'sort out' will be getting rid of this joker.

There seems to be an automatic reaction from some on here to slag off everyone that moves. The point of the post was that Baker was saying on his Facebook page that the Cov fans were awesome and pleading for SISU to sort it out.

Can't we just acknowledge the sentiment without having a go at the bloke. He got slagged off recently for doing a charity walk in his brother's memory on the day of a match. Do footballers have to lie down all day before a match in case they get tired.

I think his brother's memory is more important to him and good for him.

I actually though he was one of our better players today, was our best attacking outlet and put in a number of good crosses and had quite a few decent shots from distance. Terrible moment though when he picked the ball up in the area and lashed it high and wide early on in the game.

I thought baker had Fox's rape alarm going like the clappers a number of times. Looked a bit jaded but will be a top player for us next season I'm sure.

All the best

I didn't mean to slag the guy off-I just thought he was off today compared to his far more inexperienced colleagues. Nothing else intended :)

Well said mate...was one of our better players today and to have the bottle to say more than anyone at the club has said so far about shitsu deserves respect.

I thought he was our best player today. Some very good crosses in. He ran and ran til the end. He'll be very important next year. Stay injury free, he'll do very well.

Sorry, I may be at odds here with other posters but I thought that Baker was our best player today and will be awesome next season in Div.1

If it wasn't for a couple of decent saves from the Saints goalie, Baker would have been on the scoresheet today.
For him to make a "comment" on a social network about his employer - albeit as inoquous as "sort it out SISU" is, takes alot of bottle on his part and also shows just how pissed off the actual team players must be.
I should imagine that if a ManUre / Chelski player posted any comment aimed at Sir Alex or Abramovich then they would be in deep shit.

Brilliantly put. I'm getting seriously sick of our fans, we must be the most negative in the league-or at least the ones on this forum are, anyway. Like you say, this thread is not the "Baker is shit" thread-we've had enough of them, thanks. It was to point out what he's said about our owners, and I salute him for speaking out on the subject. All of you who posted to slag him off seriously need your heads looking at!

Oh, and he was by far one of our better players today, despite being about 2 weeks off match fitness. You critics need to wake up and smell the coffee!

Er I think you guys are missing the point. . If that is baker he could simply be trying to upset the owners to get a move.

Personaly I think all season overall he had been poor. 3 to 5 games he played well but at the end of the day he is part of the team that took us down as such we should replace him and let him move on.

Aiming comments at the owners is usually a. Sure fire bet on getting off the sinking ship.

Maybe this is the attitude thorn was staring would need to. Change it the players can go now.

Ticket for Baker

That's your best conspiracy theory yet! I think you are reading a little too much into a pretty straight forwards statement by Baker, and maybe erroneously crediting him with a Machiavellian mindset similar to your own.

Anyone who chooses to slag off Baker would seem to understand very little about football. Yesterday, making his return, he played with commitment and clearly posed a threat to the opposition. He will be brilliant next season...if we can hold on to him. And I'd imagine he might even interest a few clubs.

totally agree i thought he had a good game yesterday, probably our only attacking option! He was running at players, his workrate was good and was the only threat we had in my opinion! Some People do not have a clue at times, no wonder players get pissed off and leave because they are subject to uncalled for abuse!

Anyone who chooses to slag off Baker would seem to understand very little about the fact that he has only just come back from injury and was probably nowhere near fully match fit.
