That was fucking dreadful. Take the lead, get scared and stop playing our normal game, concede. Rinse and fucking repeat.

How has Robins not sorted this out yet!?

We've now won one of our last 5 league games. 2 of our last 10 league games. Very, very poor form. Big changes needed in January otherwise I suspect we'll drop away.

Shite. More points thrown away. Not good enough in the final third, we overplay and our crossing is abysmal. The keeper didn't have a save to make.

We can't defend set pieces.

Interesting stats on ifollow

One shot on target the whole game so how could we hope to score more than one?

Really think we gave this away in the second half. We did not play to our strengths. It must though be said Allen looked tired second half and he needs to get match fit. But we should have burried this game long before. McCallum did look like he needs resting. A disappointing day all in all. Opportunity lost. Hopefully the players wil be angry with themselves and with Godden fit and Allen able to do more than 60 minutes we will get back on the horse quickly.

Two ways to look at this season so far:

1) we've only lost 3 in 20
2) we've only won 7 in 20

I see this season as setting the platform for next, so I'm not expecting promotion, but it looks like we need to do something differently, and do it soon, or this season will just peter out.

Godden is looking like this years chaplin (Panic signing)

Christ he played half hour unfit up front on his own with no service. I imagine he would have got a five minute run out at the end but for Max’s injury. Also that “panic signing” Chaplin scores a hat trick in the division above today. Have some patience man.

That's incredibly disappointing and as much as I like MR it shows his mindset, especially away from home. After taking the lead and into the second half he was playing not to concede rather than increase the lead, and not only does it cost us a win we end up losing.

Certainly not helped with having to make the change up front, which seemed to set us back, but the ref once again had a terrible game. How he's doesn't send their player off for a second yellow then book Walsh for almost the same thing and then not book another Shrews player shortly after for another foul is just terrible.

People could see players like Shipley starting to struggle but MR didn't change it.

It's not so much the loss, but the manner of the loss again/.Had we continued playing that game with an attacking mindset we don't lose it.

Playing 1 up front at Ipswich makes sense but not against Shrewsbury, a much poorer side than us. But Robins not changing it when Shrewsbury took hold of the game is idiotic. Stop being so negative and stubborn.

Can we all not ask where mccallum was for the player at the back post? O’Hare going down to easy aswell in the build up
It was a counter attack so you can’t really blame a wing back imo for not being back there - there were 3 city players in the box ball watching. One of your 3 centre half’s got to be covering there

We got that second half completely wrong, and it seemed like he tried to soak pressure and counter... Never worked, too many sloppy passes, substitutions too late... Oh well

Regardless of how questionable Robin’s judgement was today or how inept some of the players were:
There was a stonewall red card that wasn’t given + Their equalizer came after a foul on Marosi + Their winner was after they broke after a foul not given to us = Referee was a c**t
We weren’t great but they were no better and dirty fuckers. Hate to lose when it’s more about referee ineptitude than performance

After 11 away games and having the lead beyond the hour mark, we cannot keep blaming the refs for our mistakes or finding other excuses for our lack of execution away from home. We should have subbed players and kept the lead or increased it. This team is going nowhere if it cannot win away from home.

Possibly because that's what he's telling them to do? Once we score we get defensive and try to hold onto the lead.

Our next away game is Wycombe. Some seemed to think they wouldn’t last but they won again today, 7 points clear of second and 12 clear of us.
