I have a couple of mates who are lifelong Liverpool ‘fans’ and they are going to be unbearable if they win it but you can’t deny they are playing some outstanding football and have some world class players.

Could easily dominate for the next few years.

May aswell give them the trophy now. The only question left i would say is will they go unbeaten?

If they stay unbeaten by the time they have played Man City away, then I think they will.

They've been unbelievable since that defeat to City last season. If they go unbeaten this season they'll have lost one league game in 76, along with winning a Champions League (maybe 2).

The biggest points margin by winning the league is the 19 points that Man City set in 2018, can see Liverpool looking to easily smash that.

Horrible club with unbearable fans, i hope they fuck up but sadly can't see it

Whats it they call themselves 'scouse not english' LOL
Why do you say that? Have you been to Liverpool? Have you met real "Scousers"? People from Liverpool - football fans or not, are the friendliest folk you could wish to meet. I would suggest your comments are just sour grapes because you don't like to see anyone else do well.

Don't HH....I'll start trying to prove how his comments are utter bollocks and almost 100% gleaned from social media rather than actual personal experience of Scousers.

I’ve been in the Liverpool home end on several occasions and fully agree with Dom

Went on the old kop for a few Cov games at Anfield and they were good down to earth football people . Been demonised in media for decades. However South East born 'Liverpool' fans are a different kettle of fish. As arrogant and defensive as Man U South East born fans.

I think that's it. Whenever I'm there the cringey stuff I see is generally from "non scousers"

Not being 'touchy'. You point out that this is a Coventry City FC forum. So it is, but this particular thread has been posted in "Football & Other Sports", which makes it an open thread. And the reason I may sound 'touchy', as you call it, is because I don't like seeing or reading crap that people like you spout out, just because it doesn't apply to you. I happen to be a huge Liverpool fan as well as Coventry City, the city where I was born. I choose to follow another team other than Coventry because I've always liked their style of play, the players, managers and fans.

Liverpool battered by Wolves tonight but still end up winning the game, sign of an outstanding team.

I thought Wolves gave them a scare when they equalised, but the Reds came through again! Arise Sir Jurgen Klopp!

Liverpool last 40 premier league games

35 wins 5 draws
110 points from a possible 120... This isn't the sign of a competitive league.

They lost and drew this season to napoli who sit mid table in serie a...

For me you just have to applaud the quality team that they are, if it was Man City everyone would be saying they brought the league, same as Chelsea, Leicester was a fluke etc etc. The team at the top is there to be shot at but to be honest this is probably the most cohesive team I’ve seen I since the triple winning united side.
For me the different amount of winners we have makes this a very competitive league, one poor season in the transfer market and your down to 6th with a queue of teams looking to replace you. Liverpool are leagues ahead of anyone this season but sometimes you need to appreciate just how good they are.

I think klopp is a brilliant manager, I actually regard him as the world's best personally.

I just think the Premier league has a real lack of quality now.. I know Liverpool won the champions league last year but Cup football can and did throw up some really surprising results, I doubt any of us thought Liverpool would beat barca 4 nil and spurs would turn the ajax tie around but they did and thats the magic of cup football, but Liverpool are so far ahead of the rest it almost feels like the French league.

Yeah, no doubt that Klopp is the best in the world.

Lets just hope they don't win the champions league again, saying that with VAR involved they must be favorites!

I see it the other way, there are a lot of quality teams in the league hence how we performed in both major European tournaments. Liverpool are leagues ahead this season but city were better the season previously so I do t think it can be reflected in the same light as the French league although this might be the case in 3 seasons time if they continue to dominate!

Can see both sides. Liverpool are a great side and play exciting football, however I do still blame them for the fact we never had a European adventure in the 80s and that could have been the catalyst to greatness. Let's not forget Man City were in the third tier since then, who knows if a Sheikh was looking to buy a team in sky Blue what might have happened. Sliding doors, if what, maybe … but it just might have been us!

Were they fully to blame for it yeah?

I see Manchester United as being weaker than at any point in 30 years

Arsenal weaker than at any point since the prem began

Chelsea at its weakest point for several years in terms of squad quality

Tottenham weaker than previous 6 years roughly

Man City weaker than last season mainly through retirements and injuries

This obviously means that Liverpool are so far ahead now its almost embarrassing to see how far ahead they are

People mock the French league for the exact same scenario in previous years tbh

There were various incidents Millwall at Luton etc and Maggie was hellbent on doing something, but it was when Heysel happened that they decided to punish and basically decided that all football fans should be tarred with the hooligan brush.
