Decent turnout considering it is a midweek game, difficult place to park and the trouble after the first game. Well done SBA

Not convinced we are good enough to pull it off?? Did you watch the first game??
I did watch it (although not in the stadium) and we played really well and could and should have won, but I think they looked like better players having a bad day. I just think it could swing towards them this time. I remain optimistic though and would be very happy if we can do it!

I’m looking forward to it..... going on my own but will Grab a beer somewhere. Talking to Blues at work and we may have even more comedy as their main man is a Villa loanee. So both teams game changers could be Villa unless the Blues loan from Villa is cup tied. You just know where the goals are coming from if they both play. Personally I’d rest OHare for the league

Neither of the loans can play ours or theirs

How many we sold lads anyone got any idea ? Expecting maybe 5k ? Doesn’t look like we will sell out then

strange
4,100 this morning. Still decent given the recent games fans have had to fork out for. Bet Blues sell barely double that.

Ive been several times, but the fact is if I wanted to go tomorrow it’s more of a faff than my Ricoh routine, partly because I can just get dropped off and picked up at the Ricoh, travel time is probably not massively different but the thought of driving into Brum and parking is an arse and on a night game it’s fine margins that swing it one way or another.

I'm travelling down from Chester, £25 return train ticket and won't get back until 1:20am due to the rail replacement bus from Crewe.

Because I'm a better fan? No, because I'm a glutton for punishment and I know come 7:45pm tomorrow, watching a dodgy stream of the game, I'll regret not going.
Don't feel like you have to justify going or not going, each to their own. Just generally surprised that we haven't sold 5-6K considering that's what we usually get at St Andrews for home games.

Over 4,000 for this game is pretty darn good. I'm really not sure what i think the result will be which is down to how impressive we have been of late (to be seeing this as a close match when away at a higher league opposition).

Total fuck fest on the tickets. Myself and plenty of others I know still hadn’t got em in the post today. I’m in the fackin cup scheme too so automatic tickets for any cup game.

Received an email last Tuesday telling me that they had taken my dough and that my ticket was in my usual seat and on its way.

Rang the cunts today ‘Oh yeah we ain’t selling tickets in your block’ Yeah, what about the mail? ‘Oh, disregard that’ Ok, well where’s my alternative ticket? ‘Oh, you ain’t been allocated one cos your still down as being in your usual seat, y’know the ones we ain’t selling’ (with steam coming out of my ears), well the match is tomorrow and I ain’t got a fuckin ticket? ‘Oh, hang on, I’ll allocate you a new one, you can pick it up on the night’ (flames now coming out me nose), I don’t wanna fuckin queue up to get a ticket on the night which is why I’m in the automatic fuckin cup scheme. ‘ oh right OK, I’ll mail you a PDF, just print it off and use it at the turnstiles’

And you wonder why we ain’t sold many :)

i went to the rugby Challenge Cup Final last August, having bought tickets in May.

Traditional paper tickets through the post. When we got there the seats didn’t exist... in fact the whole block didn’t exist!

Que being walked around most of the stadium by some kind of supervisor, who then told us we had to stand in some shitty office until kickoff to see what seats were available (this was my dads 70th and it was still over an hour till ko).

Told them to bugger off as the stadium was perhaps only half full and whole tiers were closed off, it was a special occasion and we’d just find a seat. That got them moving as they insisted we have a ticket.

At Wembley, home of big events.

All things being equal I’d go. If just to be in the away end. But fact is football does come below other stuff unless it’s a big game. I’d take time off work for a cup final or whatever but not a random game, each to their own as you say. The Gillingham return to the Ricoh game I was late to a stag do I was best man for because I really wanted to go to it. If it had been a random game with no significance I’d have missed it for the stag.

Anyone else (Coventry side) not received their tickets yet?

Called today and was told to call the ticket office by midday tomorrow if they don’t arrive in the morning, which I guess might mean having to collect from the St Andrews ticket office before the game? But officially it’s an away game, so not sure if would be the usual process for away games?

when MR picks the team they are'nt out there to lose - we could do with the funds and the confidence - looking forward to it - Allen and O Hare look good in the same team

Looks like you’re having the same problems we're having. Hope you’re sorted in time mate.

Agree.
But possibly can be more relaxed about the outcome than before .
Who knows that may free them up to play more expansively free from pressure .
A bit like the year we just coasted unoticed to the checkatrade final .
Obviously only into round 5 here.

Could be - double edged sword as the funds could be required - keeps players on their toes for the league games - as above not sure we would go anywhere near beating incester but Brum are not that far above us
