Indemnity and all that (8 Viewers)

A banner with a short sharp message about the indemnity. Hopefully will be picked up on social media and our message is out there again. Like Nick says, it clearly touches a nerve with certain people and will re-affirm the real reason we aren’t in Coventry

We need to embarrass wasps by telling the wolrd that they are holding the club to ransom over this indemnity
they are asking the football; club to pay for any financial consequence of dubious dealings between them and the council
This is tantamount to blackmail
They are saying the to the world and CCFC in particular that if you dont agree to cover the cost of council misdemeanours we will stop you playing at your home ground
Blackmail in anyone eyes
This does not seem to be getting across to the world at large
everybody outside this community thinks the football club have left The Ricoh of their own volition
Even the stay away NOPM "fans" are convinced that they are doing the right thing by not attending home games
I hate SISU but i happen to love CCFC more than i hate sisu wasps and the council
This is making my blood boli

Pretty sure wasps and mr Eastwood would say that their door is open
that's the problem with the half-arsed journalism going on atm.
Where's the follow-up questions that get the truth and don't settle for NDA excuses?
Find it hard to believe a simple "Yes or No" to "is there an indemnity" and "is it the only block to CCFC returning to the Ricoh" is covered by NDAs.
Ofc the door is open but you can't come in unless....

Pretty sure the door is open. Which beggars the question doesn’t it??? Why not say this on the record to midlands today or cwr? Rather than the half baked the need to stop the legal action. So so frustrating that local media aren’t doing the bare minimum of what we asked

Finally, we plead with all elements of the media to challenge misleading claims and hold private and public bodies to account to ensure they actively pursue a resolution to the current impasse, and to help facilitate a move back to Coventry without delay

Also let's get it in the open is this indemnity for Wasps or as suggested for related 3rd parties as well? Or is that again NDA time?
Completely unrealistic for the club to be indemnifying 3rd parties like CCC.

All sides saying "trust us, believe us, support us but sorry we can't actually tell you why you should because we've conspired to keep things from you with the use of NDAs".
Seems to be an allround consensus from these interested parties that fans are stupid, mindless sheep. here are some crayons, go and sit quietly in the corner.

Cj is insisting any statement includes demanding that Sisu also sign an agreement in favour of third parties

I still think we need to get some information about the nature of the indemnity sought, against losses of what sort and what the min / max level of potential cover required (if Wasps even wanted to cap it) . Then we need to do some research with insurance companies about whether or not they'd make such cover (I think I already know the answer).

then he's not safe to be out on his own.
How can any CCFC fan say we should sign an agreement that would literally bankrupt the club if the EU decision went against CCC? And why should the club indemnify anyone that has broken the law (again if EU decides that)?

Because they know that SISU / CCFC won't agree to it so they can shout at them rather than say anything about Wasps.

They won’t respond. Not in that way at least and I’m pretty sure wasps haven’t replied to the questions the trust posed to them and published in response to our statement. Or have they?

Wow that’s new. Is that something wasps have said?

No the Trust according to CJ will only consider criticising the indemnity if the club agree to this

Well he's just an idiot. he's highlighted a part where SISU offered 5.5m just for the Higgs Shares. Didn't Wasps end up paying them 2.77m for their ACL shares?
Then paid Council 2.77m for their shares. plus took on the loan.

Maybe the Trust account should stop spending it's time liking the WUM accounts from their mates and be a bit more constructive?

As we speak Mr Kalns is selling the Sky Blue Trust message

why the hell would I care what Sphinx or Coventry Utd did at the weekend? I'm a City fan.
Also don't care what Birmingham City, Stratford Town, Blyth Spartans or Inter Milan did.
If the word "Coventry" appears in the title do I have to support it? means i would have to back the telegraph, the council, all manner of sports teams I've no association with and ultimately if some have their way "Coventry" Wasps.

Because him and David Johnson are involved with Cov Utd ladies so everybody must care about them.

Those accounts on social media nasty pieces of work who seem to have no limits with their desperation.

SISU withdrew that offer saying that the business was worthless and offered something like £1M (might have been slightly more) because they recognised that Higgs is a charity. I think it was Laura Deering who confirmed this in court in the Higgs/SISU court case (not to be confused with the JR’s).

Interesting that the Trust account is retweeting the WUM accounts again.

Maybe they should change the password?

Again in the context of what the deal was for.
As it stood ACL was basically worthless with the lease it had and the bank loan it had to repay.
But allowing for a lease extension and being able to use the stadium as surety for the loan weren't options on the table when offers were made and withdrawn.
SISU would have been getting a steal at paying their original offer with the knowledge of what CCC subsequently gave Wasps.
What CCC gave Wasps enabled them to launch their bond and fund the whole deal.
Whether the bond can be repaid is a separate issue.
Have to be clear the potential income ceiling for a football club buries that of a rugby club.

I can’t believe he said ‘stop pretending to represent us’ to that guy then Kalns promptly retweeted it from the official trust account. You genuinely couldn’t make this is.

The matter of the European Commission disappears if the EC decide there is no case to answer. It gets messy if they rule that they rules have been broken.
If I've understood the process correctly, then the EC could make a ruling that CCC needs to recoup "£X" million from Wasps. I'm sure they'd be some sort of appeal and given that the EC will move at a snails pace ......I might be dead by the time this is resolved [ I'm only 21 lol].
Prior to 31st January our MEPs were pretty good at responding on what the process, but now I've no idea how we get to ask a question.
Does anyone else know anything about the timelines for a ruling?

Rupert Lowe talked about years which makes the indemnity a little more daft

Madrid case took 3 years investigation then another 3 years for the appeal. Seems pretty standard for European courts. System different to ours. Not all done in one sitting but several as judges hearing multiple cases at same time.

Got to ask if you're 21 why Colin Steins Smile?
