It was very disappointing to see Max completely written off on here by some earlier this season - a player who has always stepped up whatever the level and was on his way back from a very serious injury. The usual football geniuses were chipping in with the usual lack of football knowledge. Kudos to Max for proving the doubters (albeit a minority) wrong.

When you say ‘written off by some’ we all know you mean ‘written off by one’

Got the job done, great individual goal from O'Hare and reward for Biamou's pressing, with a bit more luck off the woodwork it could've been more. Otherwise fairly unspectacular but points in the bag and move on.
Exactly Brighton and that's the sign of a team that is going places - controlled football and finding a way to win.

Fucking brilliant set of results setting it up nicely for our game against Rotherham. Just love how calm we feel most of the time.

Glad to get the 3 in difficult conditions... Props to the team for grinding it out.

Great win, despite us not being at our best (and some tricky conditions) - just the kind of game we traditionally have dropped points in. Thought McFadzean was excellent, gets man of the match from me.

65% possession, no shots on target for them, complete control with the starting lineup, then ramp it up in the second half with the subs - Southend were totally rancid, but this couldn't have gone better for Robins.

Max Biamou is just a wonderful cult hero for this club.

Rotherham is one of our games in hand and is the only game on Tuesday week. If we were to lose it we will lose ground to Rotherham but no one else.

We are our own biggest threat most of the time-they only made chances when we gave the ball away or missed interceptions. Hopefully the week off does them good.

League favourites now?

I think so.

We're the best team in the league. There, I said it. Feels good man.
