We came nowhere near to selling out Rochdale and we've only sold 750 for Ipswich.

Rotherham are a much smaller club than us, 1000 or them is a top following on a Tuesday.

We've sold around 1000 for Ipswich and they're not on general sale until Friday, so a comfortable sell out despite the prices.

Not criticising Rotherham, but I did expect a few more than that tbh. Sub 1000 for a top of the table clash, where it's the cheapest price they'll pay all season and a relatively short journey for them is perhaps a little below par. Then again, ifollow does gave an impact on midweek followings

We're going to lose one day.

Please can we not do it tomorrow, or Sunday, or against Ipswich.

Pre-season while we prepare for the Championship with a warm up game at the Ricoh against Real Madrid might be ok, just.
You're on the right lines - won't be beaten again this season.

I’ve had worries about the last couple of games as they had banana skin and typical disappointing loss written all over them. But we ground the results out. Factor in how well we’ve played at the fortress and that we usually turn up against the good sides and the omens are good.

But then we’re due a wobble and it would be true City to wobble against the two other best teams in the league at the most crucial time. No pressure like!

Have faith in this team.

3 defeats in 31.

Rock solid.

I wouldn't be massively surprised if Robins changed it up a bit tomorrow. I'm sure Rotherham will set up a bit like Pompey did and will press high up the pitch. We got over the line in that game, but the midfield was bypassed for much of that game, so he might be tempted to play 2 up front and look to play balls in behind and give their defenders a little more to think about. Just a hunch, but no doubt we will be unchanged and I'm talking shite.

Even though they’re top of the away table, their record away against the current top 7 isn’t great.

Played 3, won 0 so far

Initially I thought Westbrooke/Shipley would be the better options this game, but actually I think it works in our favour to be on the offensive.

We’re always the better team when we play football and attack, and this is a perfect game to do that. They are physical and will press, but that’ll mean space is left between their midfield and defence, and O’Hare/Allen are the best people to expose that.

We will still have options from the bench, both personnel and tactics wise.

I always liked Wood, but his weakness is pace. It is something that I’m sure we’ll aim to exploit. Unfortunately Godden isn’t blessed with pace, but if it isn’t working then we have both Biamou and Bakayoko. While neither are especially rapid, they’re quicker than Godden.

I hope we don’t resort to direct long ball, especially with Godden up front as it doesn’t suit him or our overall style of play.

I get the comments re our defence being bullied, but they’ve been solid on the whole this season and I don’t see that changing tomorrow. I expect another massive leaders performance from McFadzean.

I genuinely think if we play our football and everyone is on form (which I fully expect with it being such a big game), we’ll dominate and come away with the win.

I predict Walsh to absolutely run the show tomorrow with O’Hare and Allen heavily contributing.

2-0, O’Hare, Walsh.

This reminds me of my kids on Christmas Eve talking about whether they’re on the good list or the bad list

We won't pass around the back tomorrow.. It will be Alot of mixing it up to beat the press... Much like against pompey.

Long ball diagonals to Dabo and McCallum balls whipped accross the 6 yard and balls into the feet of the 2 attacking midfielders hoping for a long shot top bin or a mazy run into the box

He will play allen and o hare because of this

Won't be our usual flowing self but still be effective

Nervous again ffs

IF Sunderland can do us a massive favour and fuck up tomorrow night then next Sunday won't be such a worry either .. Cheers

Can't go though this every match now lol

Godden is our best striker by a distance - whenever he’s fit he starts

<snip>
He's not the best 'by a distance'.
Godden has scored 12 and Biamou 11.
Biamou and Bakayoko between them have scored 17.

Woke up nervous, excited and still haven’t got a club which way this one will go. The result up there was t reflective of the team we have now so it’s not a comparator (if that was a way I would be more nervous!). Both teams deservedly where they are, the rest of the chasing pack will be hoping for a draw and I think it will be a close one. 0-0 or 1-0 city!

Hopefully Marra hawayyyy

Any chance of a translation ? Some of us don't speak Mackem ;)

Predicted we'd lose to Rochdale so I'm being up front about our chances tonight.

We lose 1-3 in a snippy game and I'm expecting a red card in the second half, probably McCallum as he's been focussed on the last few games.

Come on Cov, I dare you prove me wrong again :D
