I'm not crying, just got something in my eye....
45.5% win record across his 2 spells
Both times he took over we were struggling, and yes he Should maybe have done better than he did in League 2 - but he managed to stabilise and reunite the club in that time
Unfortunately, if we do get promoted, i suspect that win record will take a bit of a hammering!!
What a transformation! In 16/17 we were simply appalling and three years on we are all n the cusp of something special.
Mark Robins deserves every credit and we are lucky to have him. Somehow it just fits.
Mark Robins or Eric Black?
I'll take Robins, he has done an amazing job.
Never got the Eric Black thing. Yeah, he won a few games, we scored goals then got sacked. But he may have gone on to be another MacAllister, Neal or Butcher.
we should have been given the opportunity to find out though Torch.
Reid simply didn't want to be here. It was written all over his monkey face.
I think the thing with Eric Black was the complete turnaround in performances of the players both individually and as a team when he took the reins from Mcallister. His sacking was one of a lot of appalling decisions made by the board at the time.Never got the Eric Black thing. Yeah, he won a few games, we scored goals then got sacked. I don't disagree. Wasn't he sacked after that fantastic away win at Walsall?
I don’t get the thing about League Two. We had a basket case of a team when he arrived, no confidence, easily beaten by all and sundry, playing awful football. Yet he turned that around to a team that was competitive from the start in League Two and maintained that throughout the season despite losing Jones, Andreu and then Nazon. The objective was surely promotion at the first attempt. He achieved that in memorable fashion. Wembley was special, Notts County away even more so, memories to last a life time. If I remember correctly we were relegated with Swindon, Port Vale and Chesterfield. The struggles those clubs have had, plus the statistics showing how rare it is for clubs relegated to the fourth division to return at the first attempt, show that promotion was anything like being a ‘given’. In these last three years he has completely turned the team around, building what amounts to virtually three new teams for each of his seasons, each team better than the one it succeeded. I think he has done a fantastic job from day one.45.5% win record across his 2 spells

It was Gillingham, when Shaw scored!
I went to that. I think that was the one when Keith O'Neill (or whatever his name was) was giving it the big I am at the side of the pitch as he warmed up.

Still nowhere near the King of Arse Sitting:
I'm going that way, down the M1 back to London. See you...er...never.

Surely Kastaneer has a claim to this throne now?
The club never bothered with a medical for Sherwood as they knew he'd fail... but they'd tied themselves into a need for a big name signing. To be fair to "Kasta". He's not on the treatment table, I would imagine he does want to play. Sherwood just took the piss.
